There can be instances when you make a mistake and start acting as if no one knows about it. You may feel hidden in God's eyes while sinning and believe you have gotten away with it. Jesus is coming back, are you ready? For some of us, if we’re honest, that thought fills us with anxiety. “Am I ready?” We ask ourselves as we evaluate our most recent decisions. We feel like we haven’t accomplished our goals, been “good enough” to be rewarded, and a host of other intrusive thoughts. But today, Pastor Ken tells you that, yes, Jesus is coming, and you do need to be ready; however, this should fill you with comfort and joy knowing that you are Jesus’ reward and He’s thrilled about it.

The Bible is clear, God gives us grace and mercy and He loves us unconditionally. But it’s difficult to keep that in mind when things aren’t going our way. Especially when we’re experiencing the consequences of our own actions. The problem is when we shift our focus off God, we focus it onto ourselves and our own strength and ability. This thinking sets us up for failure because, if we’re living in our own strength, then that’s what we’re limited to. Pastor Ken encourages you today to rely on Jesus – both in the bad times and in the good.

Who doesn’t love a good compliment? It’s nice when someone comments on an outfit or haircut or recognizes your contribution at work, home, or church. It’s important to receive and to give encouragement. But what happens when it goes too far? Can you discern when you’re being “buttered up” for something or do you get wrapped up in the good things they’re saying? Today, Pastor Ken tells you that flattery distracts you and lessens your discernment which leaves you vulnerable to the enemy.

We’ve all been in need. Times when we’ve just about given up. Our month lasted longer than our money and now we have to decide between food and electricity or a family member is in the hospital or we’ve made a mistake and the consequences seem more than we can bear. We cry out to God, “Help!” And when He comes through, there’s no better feeling. Today, Pastor Ken encourages you to remember those times and don’t forget that it was God that brought you through, not your own effort and ability.

When do we need God? The answer is obvious – we always need God. But that’s not how we live our lives. From family tragedy to losing our car keys, God is constantly on our minds. But what happens when we’re doing well? When we’re excelling in life, living from our strengths, do we not need Him then? Today, Pastor Ken reminds you that when you’re at your strongest, you’re actually at your most vulnerable. And that, after a big win, you need to seek God rather than coasting on the blessings.

It’s a pretty well-worn phrase that “God will never give you more than you can handle”. It sits well with our cultural mindset of: “you can do it”. Our books and our movies constantly reinforce the idea that the hero can overcome all odds, and accomplish the impossible. But today, Pastor Ken reminds us that this is not the biblical view. So, when you feel overwhelmed by something, that may be because God wants you to feel that way. He may be encouraging you to say: “I need God to get me through this.”

It seems to be a constant question: why do we pray to God about our concerns, when He already knows everything? He knows what’s going on in our lives, He knows what we want, and He knows what troubles us. But as Pastor Ken shares today, God wants us to come to Him in prayer because He wants our hearts to be expressed in our words. When you pray, remember that the important part is the conversation. You can remind him of stuff He already knows – He just wants you to tell Him anyway.

When you meet new people, and you ask them to tell you about themselves, what kind of things do they usually talk about? It may be their job. Or their children. Some people will tell you where they’re from, or something about their family background. As Pastor Ken shares today, it’s important to know who you are, and whose you are. And your most important identity is that you’re a child of God. And regardless of how much or little you possess in this world, you always have His constant care.

Most Christians find that some areas of their lives are relatively easy to submit to God. But there are other parts that are not. It may be work, family, hobbies, relationships, or something else, but there’s something keeping them from full loyalty to God. Today, Pastor Ken shows the importance of the transition made by King Hezekiah from “some” to “all”. When you can identify those things in your life that God is still working on, you’ll find – like Hezekiah – that the benefits are totally worth the sacrifices!

One of the most popular deceptions within Christendom is the idea of secular humanism. Secular humanism emphasizes human potential and self-fulfillment to the point of excluding all need for God.

Today, Pastor Ken will be explaining how the Old Covenant was a shadow or copy of the better covenant to come. The lives of animals could never remove sin; the life of an animal is not a sufficient substitute for a human life. The blood of bulls and goats was a temporary appeasement until the final, ultimate blood covenant was made by Jesus Christ Himself – the God-Man. God’s promise of eternal blessing is given only on the basis of faith in the saving blood of His Son, Jesus- which is the New Covenant.

The biggest question on everyone's mind…Is the Bible truly God’s Word? If the Bible is truly God’s Word, then you should cherish it, study it, obey it, and fully trust it. If the Bible is truly the Word of God, then it is the final authority for all matters of faith, practice, and morality. If the Bible is the Word of God, then to dismiss it is to dismiss God Himself. Today, Pastor Ken will be explaining how God’s Authorship of the Bible is proven not only by prophecy fulfillment but also by archeological evidence!

Ahaz was an evil king of Judah who had destructive practices, such as idol worship and sacrilege against the temple of the Lord. The actions of Ahaz contributed to the downfall of the kingdom of Judah, which the Lord brought about in 586 BC. Today, Pastor Ken will be explaining the contrast between evil King Ahaz and his godly son King Hezekiah. King Hezekiah reversed what his father had done to the temple, purifying it and again consecrating it for the worship of the Lord

Why does God need us? He has the power and the authority to defeat the enemy whenever He pleases, so why do we still exist? Today, Pastor Ken will remind you that you are a part of God’s story. He has a redemptive plan that you can be a part of. When you decide to follow Jesus, you are a disciple of Him. That means you get to help other people find and follow Jesus before it’s too late.
