Looking back at Liverpool’s last two games (consecutive home defeats): a 1-0  loss in the league to Crystal Palace and a 3-0  reverse against Atalanta. Following a hugely damaging week for Jurgen Klopp’s men,  the team find themselves teetering in both competitions.

Drew looks back on Liverpool’s latest result - a disheartening 2-2 draw against arch-rivals Manchester United. For the second time in 3 weeks at Old Trafford, the hosts gave up the vast majority of possession and chances and yet still emerged with credit. It was the Reds’ latest criminal exhibition of finishing following on from an otherwise fine run of league results - sandwiched between an easy Europa League tie against Sparta Prague. Still in the chase for 3 trophies in Jurgen Klopp’s final season, the Reds have been replaced at the top of the league by Arsenal, who lead on goal difference.

As news breaks of a possible return to Anfield for former Sporting Director Michael Edwards, Drew shares his initial reaction to a potentially significant development in the post-Klopp era.

Drew shares his thoughts on a huge couple of results for the Reds as we move into the business end of the season still chasing on all fronts. Darwin Nunez was at the double in a massively satisfying 5-1 win away to Slavia Prague in the first leg of their last 16 Europa League tie. It was the perfect follow up to the Uruguayan’s  dramatic stoppage time winner at the City ground against Nottingham Forest in a the Premier League.And with the massive encounter aganist Pep Guardiola's Manchester City  looming large, we take a look at how the boys may line up in for what's set to be an enthralling top of the table clash.

Liverpool FC are the 2024 Carabao Cup winners. An event-packed final was clinched with a glancing Virgil Van Dijk header deep into extra time.Jurgen Klopp guaranteed at least one trophy in his farewell season, after defeating Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea side with two minutes of the game remaining. Despite having at least 9 first teamers out through injury, the academy kids delivered a record-breaking 10th League Cup for the club.

Well that was unexpected...Drew shares his raw reaction to the news that no Liverpool fan was quite ready for when it landed on Friday morning: Jurgen Klopp has announced his decision to leave the football club at the end of the current season.  You can listen back to Klopp's full press conference at the end of this pod.

Another podcast, another brace of victories…In this episode, Drew looks back at 2 huge wins in the cup competitions for Liverpool Football Club, as the Reds keep up their immaculate start to 2024. Jurgen Klopp’s boys secured a 2-1 win against Fulham in the first leg of their EFL cup semi-final at Anfield - and that was preceded by a massively satisfying win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. Both victories came despite the absence of key players from the side.

A 2-0 Boxing Day win at Burnley was followed up by a hugely dominant 4-2 victory in front of a raucous Anfield on New Year’s Day. That coupled with the recent results of our rivals means that we are now legitimately clear at the top of the Premier League table once more - with just over half of the season gone.Everything points to a super-exciting second half to the season and a fascinating title race in the weeks to come. But there’s now a lengthy break before the next round of Premier League games and we now travel to the Emirates Stadium to face a wounded Arsenal side in what’s likely to be a tough assignment in North London.

Drew looks back at a tense and pulsating encounter at Anfield which ended in a share of the spoils - and reflects on where he sees the title race following the 1-1 draw. Liverpool have now dropped points in consecutive home games, but remain well placed in the running, just a point off top spot. Finally the big one has arrived…Drew previews Liverpool's clash with heavily depleted Manchester United, who return to Anfield this weekend - the scene of their 7-0 humiliation earlier this year. The home team are themselves still missing a few key faces, however they are heavy favourites to inflict even more pain on Eric Ten Haag’s toiling team.Both Liverpool and Manchester United suffered defeats in Europe in mid-week ahead of their Premier League match, but their situations couldn’t be any more different. While Jurgen Klopp fielded a shadow team for their dead rubber match against Union St Gilliose, which they lost 2-1, United were dumped out of Europe altogether after losing 1-0 at home to Bayern Munich. It was a result that saw them finish bottom of their Champions League group.
