Straight Up Doe: Gatlinburg Jane Doe
December 22, 1974: Remains were found near Cove Mountain chalet, below the tramway station at Gatlinburg Ski Lodge in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The remains were an unidentified adult female, estimated age range of 30-45. The remains were whole, but unable to be identified due to the level of decomposition. Investigators believe Gatlinburg Jane Doe was a white female, around 5’8” and 140 pounds with short, brown hair and hazel eyes.
She was found wearing a white short-sleeved blouse with small yellow flowers, dark blue pants, dark blue heavy men's socks over panty hose, a white sweater, and dark blue coat with permanent creases. There were no shoes or jewelry found on the body.
