Take Your Shoes Off w/ Rick Glassman
Hi, I'm Rick Glassman, and I'm a goofy guy and a cute boy. As a kid, I had debilitating OCD. I still have a lot of “things.” The title of my podcast “Take Your Shoes Off” is a microcosm of my need for control and order in a world that... keeps their shoes on.
I created this podcast to showcase a more serious side, as I have conversations with some of the funniest and most interesting people in the world. I’ve learned the language of comedy in an attempt to survive this shoes-on world, so of course there will be some goofs and spoofs, but think of this podcast as you being a fly on the wall, as opposed to being an audience member in a theatre.

For those who don't know Rick, he's an actor, writer, and stand-up comedian. Rick starred in the TV show Undateable and the comedy-drama series As We See It. The show's title refers to his need to control the world around him. Throughout the series, he talks about his experiences with OCD and therapy.
Listeners shouldn't expect the podcast to be too serious. There's always time to be silly and awkward. He chats with actors, musicians, and like-minded "nerds," as he refers to himself. Guests include Sam Morril, Adam Ray, and Andrew Santino, who hosts theBad Friends podcast.
In one podcast episode, Rick chats with New York comedian Mark Normand. They exchange jokes between them from the start, setting the tone for the entire episode. They talk about everything from writing and performing comedy to feeling insecure. Rick talks about trying to find the best version of himself. Mark admits his ability to be funny fluctuates from one day to the next.
Rick talks to Bobbi Althoff from The Really Good Podcast in another podcast episode. She's a mom influencer who has interviewed the likes of Drake and Mark Cuban. From the start, Rick admits he wants to get to know Bobbi outside of her social media presence. The interview is reminiscent of a brother/sister relationship. They make fun of each other and argue throughout.
