Project Parenthood is a parenting podcast for anyone needing extra support and advice. Nanika Coor, a child psychologist and parenting therapist, is the host. She's passionate about teaching parents mindful approaches to caring for children. Her mission is to help all caregivers set boundaries and be the parents they hope to be.

The podcast started in 2007. The original host was parenting coach Cheryl Butler, known as "The Mighty Mommy." She provided five-minute tips on parenting, from potty training to bedtime conflicts. After over 450 episodes, Cheryl left the podcast for new adventures. Nanika Coor became the new host in 2021. Her experience has focused on parents with childhood trauma. She helps them to prevent their experiences from impacting their children.

With Nanika as host, Project Parenthood podcast episodes can be up to 40 minutes long. Nanika shares insights from her experience with patients, as well as from her path as a parent. She offers actionable strategies to help families improve collaboration throughout their daily lives.

Nanika shares tips on everything from after-school meltdowns to mindfulness. She talks about dealing with conditions such as eating disorders and ADHD. Nanika discusses teaching a child responsibility without forcing chores on them. What should a parent expect from a 7-year-old? And what about the so-called "touchy teens"? She also shares how to have meaningful conversations with children on topics such as sexual health and divorce.

Nanika invites experts to share their insights on childhood development. Dr. Riana Elyse Anderson discusses how Black children can prepare for the racism that exists in society. Dr. Jennifer Noble looks at healthy racial identity for kids. Therapist Abby Hasberry also shares advice for white parents raising Black children.

The Project Parenthood podcast is a supportive guide offering helpful strategies for parents. The journey of parenting is different for everyone. Yet Nanika provides calm and professional advice to help with most situations. The ultimate goal is for parents to feel more confident and compassionate.
