The 1980s were a thrilling era for rock music, marked by numerous innovations, iconic bands, and memorable hits. The 80s saw diverse sub genres of rock to include glam metal, thrash metal, post-punk, new wave and the beginning of alternative rock. There were many epic types of movies in the 80s from action to adventure, thrillers to teen comedies, there was something for everyone in the decade. However, one topic that hadn’t been touched, and was ultimately needed in 1987 was a movie about truck drivers and arm wrestling.
