Easter Proves What Jesus Christ Said Was True Easter proves once and for all what Jesus Christ said was true: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26 NIV). “Because I live, you also will live.” (John 14:19) Jesus’ resurrection is the only permanent return to life. Everyone else who had been raised to life in the Bible died again. Jesus rose and never died again. No other person or claimed prophet who died is alive today. Two Words To Understand About Easter Eternity. The one thing we can all agree on, no matter what your religion or faith or philosophy is: all of us will die a physical death. While it doesn’t matter what religion or faith you follow to know that we all die a physical death, what does matter is to know what happens to you after you die a physical death. Forgiven. Forgiven is what you can expect and what you receive the moment you accept  Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) Easter is a celebration of the triumph of true life over death when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Are you really saved as a Christian? How do I know I am really saved? If you consider yourself a Christian, have you ever wondered if you are really saved for eternal life in Heaven? The Most Dividing Question The most dividing question in the world is, "What are you going to do about Jesus?" Have you ever noticed just the mention of Jesus upsets people? Luke 12 beginning in verse 52 Jesus says, “From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other…father against son…son against father… mother against daughter…daughter against mother… mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” That happened when Christ was on earth, and it's still happening today. What Matters Most But what matters most is where you are going to spend eternity, not who’s against who on earth. Jesus knew there would be division because of Him. And we have free will to make the choice: do we accept Christ or not? Resolutions and Disillusions Why do resolutions become disillusions? Using will power, instead Holy Spirit power, is why New Year's resolutions quickly become New Year's disillusions. Right before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He said in Acts 1:8, “...You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…” Don't Call on Resolutions Instead of calling on resolutions to change you, call on the Holy Spirit to change you. Get that power when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Is all I have to do is accept Christ, and I automatically have the Holy Spirit in me? The answer is Yes. When Jesus was on earth and right before he ascended into Heaven, He was telling his disciples that even though He was not going to be with them on earth, the Father would be sending them the Holy Spirit in a few days. Jesus said in Acts 1:4-5 (NIV), “Wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” So while Jesus left the disciples physically on earth, they would not be left spiritually on earth. And that’s the cool thing about accepting Christ. Holy Spirit We have an inward spirit, the Holy Spirit, to lead us, guide us, teach us, show us, discipline us, and convict us to stay true to His word. 3 Types of Bankruptcies Did you know there are three types of bankruptcy? Physical, moral, and spiritual. Of the three, spiritual bankruptcy is worst because it has eternal implications that can point to where you are going to LIVE in eternity. The good news is that you determine where you are going to spend eternity, and it does not matter what you’ve ever done in your life. Past Does Not Predict Future  Your past does not determine your future. The gift of eternal life in Heaven is free, and all you have to do is ask for it. Ephesians 2:4-5 says, "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved." Some find it hard to believe that it DOES NOT MATTER WHAT you’ve EVER done in your life and that you CAN receive the free gift of eternal life in Heaven. You might wonder if you can really go to Heaven I really screwed up. I cheated on my spouse, and I got divorced. Can I still go to heaven? Answer: Yes, absolutely.I was a physical abuser, and I beat my spouse for years. Can I still go to heaven? Answer: Yes, absolutely.I stole a lot of money from my employer. Can I still go to heaven? Answer: Yes, absolutely.I know a guy who killed someone, so can HE still go to heaven? Answer: Yes, absolutely.I had an abortion; can I get into heaven? Answer: Yes, absolutely. Jesus Died For ALL Of Our Sins Jesus died on the cross not for SOME of our sins, but for ALL of our sins… past, present, and future…yes, even the sins that you're about to commit! If that were not true, then the resurrection of Jesus Christ would be worthless, and we could not be saved. That would make all this Christianity stuff would be meaningless because when you die, that would be THE END of you, and me, but there is one thing that can keep you from going to Heaven.
