Celebrating 75 Years: Ocala Art Group’s Inspiring Conversations!
2025 heralds the 75th year for The Ocala Art Group (OAG) promoting and sharing the visual arts. Join Ruby Ruby as she chats with members from the OAG, a non-profit organization, founded in 1950, dedicated to “promote and encourage among its members and the public, an appreciation for art in its various media.” A festive reception, painting demo, and live music event are planned to celebrate this major. milestone, which will be held at the Chelsea Art Center in Ocala on Saturday, February 1,2025, from 2 - 4:00 p.m. This venue will host the opening of a unique exhibition of OAG member artwork, to be judged by nationally-renowned art expert Tyrus Clutter. The exhibition theme, “Wonder, Whimsy, and Wild,” will encompass the major genres of fine arts, including paintings, photography, and 3-D works. The exhibition will remain at the Art Center until February 28, 2025, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
