This is a podcast created to guide members of the built and shelter design trade through this ever changing industry with ideas for crafting incredible design, CEU’s to advance your career and unique new products and techniques that make your clients design dreams a reality.  This is the story about The Formosa Cafe, opened in Hollywood, California in 1939 and was, for decades following a hang-out for some of the biggest stars in Hollywood. The Formosa was built across the street from the legendary Samuel Goldwyn Studio. The biggest celebrities of the day spent their time at The Formosa was a hotspot for legends like James Dean, Frank Sinatra, Humphrey Bogart and Elvis Presley. The 1933 Group works to save significant properties form destruction and brings them back to their former glory. Ron and Jaime discuss their passion for architecture and saving unique works. Kristi Nelson sits down with Shaun and Fernando to discuss the ideas behind unfolding the true design desires of her clients. This episode will cover what it takes to design incredible kitchen’s and what elements now make up the modern kitchen spaces. There is a constant struggle that exists between sexy, exotic design and achieving purely utilitarian function. The magic lies in the designers ability to apply skill, product knowledge and creative understanding of space/ distance and the art of design all working together in unison. Jhoiey Ramirez is a masterful designer with both creative vision and a keen understanding for how products, materials and technology work together to make the perfect space that is both sexy and highly functional.
