Flourishing - A Practical Process
Season 3, Episode 2 - Flourishing a Practical Process. How do we flourish in life in ministry when circumstances don't change? Today, we explore a simple process to help you step into flourishing, no matter what is happening in life right now.Process:Step 1What you'd INCLUDE in your ideal day. What you'd EXCLUDE in your ideal day.The gap between the two. Get a sense of it.Step 2 Add images and feelings - what does flourishing look and feel like?Step 3 Review each list and give yourself a "+" for each item on your INCLUDE LIST that is part of your day and a"—" for each item on your EXCLUDE LIST that is part of your usual day. (This makes things more actionable) Now, put what you'd INCLUDE IN ORDER. (note: this could be an order based on what would be easiest to add OR what would give you the most bang for your buck.)Put what you'd EXCLUDE IN ORDER.Pick one or two items from the images and feeling list to guide you.Now what?1. Just grow your awareness about yourself and what flourishing means for you. We are not always able to act, but just knowing can help you sense where you’d like to move at some point. 2. Decide one thing you’d like to include or one thing you’d like to exclude. Sure, it would be great if you could knock off the whole list, add all the include items, and delete all the exclude items, but that is probably not possible for everyone. So, pick one. You will be surprised at how much impact just one has. 3. Throw the lists away and focus on the image or feeling of flourishing. Let it run in the background as you do life and let it give you a bit of a lift and a bit of a new perspective. So, what do you think? What will you live into so you might flourish just a bit more, even if nothing changes at your church?Resources:Spotify Podcast PlaylistInstagram @nicolereilleycoachingFacebook @nicolereilleycoachingMinistry & Life Coaching and Social Media Management at NicoleReilley.com.Expanding the Expedition Through Digital Ministry by Nicole Reilley at AmazonContact me: RevReilley@gmail.comwww.NicoleReilley.com
