Brooke and Jeffrey: Second Date Update has plenty of humor and witty banter. Hosts Brooke Fox, Jeffrey Dubow, Jose Bolanos, and Alexis Fuller have great chemistry. The podcast has a lighthearted approach to dating woes. But it also offers some valuable insights into modern-day relationships.

The podcast has a simple premise. In each Brooke and Jeffrey: Second Date Update episode, the hosts talk to someone who wants to know what went wrong on the date. The guest explains the details to the hosts (and the listeners). Then the hosts call up the person's date to get their side of the story. Will the guest get that second chance? That's what listeners will find out. If the guest gets another date, the hosts will pay for it.

The Brooke and Jeffrey: Second Date Update stories can be pretty wild. Jeremy meets Tessa online and they bond over their shared love of true crime podcasts. So they go to a real-life trial for their first date. It turns out that the local courthouse isn't the most romantic place. It also turns out that Jeremy was selective in telling his story. The hosts call up Tessa and she seems confused and annoyed that they are calling her. They explain that they are radio hosts, and she snaps, "Radio still exists?" Ouch.

In this episode, titled "Disorder In The Court," Tessa shares the details that Jeremy didn't. He told her his past experience in the courthouse. One time he was there because he faced charges for a Ponzi scheme. Another time, it was for passing bad checks. Needless to say, there was no second date.
