Episode #35: Chris "Skip" Hanks

Jenny Glenn, Head Volleyball Coach at Metropolitan State University of Denver,  has taken one of the most successful volleyball programs in Division II history to unprecedented heights during her eight years as the Roadrunners' head coach.Heading into the 2024 season, she has compiled an overall record of 191-47 (.803 winning percentage), including a staggering mark of 125-9 in regular-season RMAC play for a .933 winning percentage. Over the past four seasons, MSU Denver is 98-15 overall (.867) and 60-2 in the RMAC (.968), following a three-season (2020 through 2022) run in which the Roadrunners were 73-8 overall (.901) and 47-1 in the RMAC (.979). Glenn's overall winning percentage and conference winning percentage are the best in the program's history. MSU Denver has spent nine weeks ranked No. 1 in Division II (four weeks in 2022, five weeks in 2021) by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association, was No. 3 in the final poll in both 2021 and 2022, and finished at No. 4 in 2020. The Roadrunners, No. 7 in the final 2023 poll, have been ranked in the top 10 in 39 consecutive polls, as was as 51 of the last 53, heading into the 2024 season. Scott Winterburn is the Head Baseball Coach at the University of La Verne in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC). After leading his alma Mater, Asuza Pacific, for one year, Scott took over the Leopard program in 2001 and quickly turned it into a national power.He’s led the Leo’s to 6 SCIAC titles and 8 NCAA National Tournaments in the last 23 years. Spencer Henke was named the Interim head men's basketball coach at Saint Leo University in St. Leo, FL in May of 2024 for the 2024-25 season following four seasons as an assistant coach on Lance Randall's staff from 2020-24.  Randall took the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach position at the University of Wisconsin this summer.Henke first arrived at Saint Leo as a graduate assistant (2020–21) and helped lead the Lions to a Sunshine State Conference tournament title in 2021. In the summer of 2021, he was promoted to the Head Assistant Coach and Director of Recruiting positions. Henke coordinated individual workouts, weekly recruiting and team schedules, and all team travel. On top of this, Henke played a pivotal role in developing scouting reports. Prior to the 2023-24 season, he was one again promoted to associate head coach.Henke is a 2020 graduate of Marquette University in his home state of Wisconsin. The Oshkosh native served as a student manager of the men's basketball team under the direction of former Marquette head coach and former Duke star, Steve Wojciechowski. Jeff Culver is entering his 13th Season as the Head Men's Basketball Coach at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS).  He led the UCCS to its first RMAC Championship in program history.  He's coached the only NBA Draft Pick  and the only All-Americans in program history.  Culver was the only four-year head coach to offer Derrick White (NBA Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist) a scholarship out of high school, and Derrick would become a two-time All-American and the 29th pick by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2017 NBA Draft.Before UCCS, Culver spent 7 years at Johnson & Wales, where he worked concurrently as the Director of Athletics and Head Men's Basketball Coach.  He led the Wildcasts to three A.I.I. Championships and three appearances in the NAIA Division II National Tournament while earning A.I.I.
