He brings his own unique perspective to his work: he believes every school, district, company, or corporation’s makeup is built toward a certain likeness, identity, or norm. Cameron is passionate about highlighting what this norm is, bringing other identities that “don’t fit” to light, and (with this in mind) rebranding practices and symptoms to be more inclusive. Cameron is a dynamic educational leader who is committed to the development of students into capable, curious, caring, and confident learners. He has been described as a memorable coach, as someone who gives the same level of commitment to the most talented as to those who are often overlooked. Kevin is the Associate Vice President of Government Relations & the Chief Diversity Officer at Bucks County Community College. He is a DEI Social Justice expert, and is most passionate about supporting traditional populations that were initially left behind in areas of education, employment, healthcare, and economic self-determination. Kevin defines Traditional populations as Native Americans who had their land taken from them and also including African Americans where they were taken from their land. He believes this disparity cannot be remedied in equity but can be addressed with economic reparations and the pursuit of social justice. Kevin was the first African-American to win the Democratic Nomination in Mississippi’s majority-white 4th Congressional District and is an advocate for health equity, and civil & human rights.
