"A Fucked Up System Called Foster Care"
In this episode, you will hear Dale share a brief overview of their journey in the foster care system.No child should be made to feel like garbage, yet that's exactly how the foster care system was designed. You are given a garbage bag to move your belongings from one placement to the next. You are transported in the back of a police car, as if you are a criminal. Your voice isn't heard by those who are supposed to be supporting you, fighting for you're rights, and ensuring that you are placed in a home that is safe and secure.85% of foster youth that age out of the system, end up dead, on the street, on drugs, or in jail! Dale fought like hell to not be another statistic with the desire of becoming like the 15% success rate of those raised by the state.
