We meet our next guest Lynn at the Charleston West Virginia Marriott, on a Saturday morning. Getting to hear Lynne‘s story is really quite special because you get to hear from a mother of a 10 year old son with autism. You get to hear about what it was like for her to find out her son has autism, understanding what it means, what that’s like raising him, and the miracle in it. One of the biggest takeaways is what she’s come to realize in caring for Owen, and raising him, is that he has taught her more about herself and about other people, and she could ever teach him. The story of her brother, who passed away who she didn’t know as well as she thought, when really finding out what his community said about him, the kind of person he was, and the way he impacted of peoples lives gave her a completely new understanding of him. Her lesson from that was making certain that people always knew what she felt about them and what they meant to her in her life and that she love them. Lynne’s chat and sharing around a question about love is one of those magic moments with the jar. She’s able to really truly articulate beautifully her experience and her knowledge.
