Ep. 76 The Librarian of Burned Books by Brianna Labuskes

The Reader's Couch

Mar 6 2023 • 47 mins

This book was inspired by the true story of the Council of Books in Wartime—a WWII organization founded by booksellers, publishers, librarians, and authors— and in the novel, we meet three women who believe in the power of books.
Today on the couch, I'm pleased to welcome author Brianna Labuskes.  First, we talk about her latest novel, The Librarian of Burned Books; then, we get into her writing and reading life.  Brianna also gives us book and bookstore recommendations, plus lots more.
