He says OU and Texas will be welcomed by fans at every SEC campus, “and then all of a sudden when we kick off, it won’t be quite as welcoming.” Sankey said he joked with OU athletic director Joe Castiglione that the SEC was winning NCAA titles in softball and gymnastics until the Sooners’ recent dynasties, so the league invited OU to join so the celebrations could resume.
