Washington Commanders get quarterback Jacoby Brissett but lose Cole Holcomb to the Pittsburgh Steelers as the new NFL year begins.

On Wednesday the Commanders agreed to terms with quarterback Jacoby Brissett who will now leave the Cleveland Browns to come in and compete with Sam Howell for the starting job.

Before that, Washington saw linebacker Cole Holcomb leave for Pittsburgh pending a physical on a three-year deal. That move highlighted a list of moves made in the week that also includes tendering restricted free agent safety Jeremy Reaves and releasing running back J.D. McKissic.
