So listen in each week as cohosts and special guests rewatch their favorite TV shows and discuss characters, ships, and pivotal moments. From reality competitions to sitcoms and everything in between, we love talking about TV almost as much as we love rewatching it!
The Community Rewatch Podcast discusses Community, the beloved TV comedy. Listeners can step back into the world of Greendale Community College. Those who have watched the popular show Community more than once will have plenty to enjoy. There's a lot here for new fans, too. The podcast recaps important and hilarious episodes. (But aren't they all hilarious?) It examines the characters' many relationships, romantic and platonic. Friendships are sometimes the most sincere love stories. Don't Ahmed and Troy become one of TV's best male friend duos? These are only two of the quirky eccentrics who love and annoy each other on the Greendale campus.
Community first premiered on NBC in 2009 and aired for six seasons. Its all-star cast includes Gillian Jacobs, Ken Jeong, Chevy Chase, Alison Brie, Yvette Nicole Brown, and Joel McHale. While the sitcom didn't receive the highest ratings, it had a dedicated fanbase and won awards.
Host Jenn has loved Community since the beginning. She became "a girl who writes Community reviews" after the show's creator, Dan Harmon, responded to a review. What an honor for a true Community lover. His thanks and praise encouraged her to continue. She began her website, Just About Write, in 2011. The website's hundreds of reviews became the basis for this podcast. While the show ended more than ten years ago, its fanbase remains strong. At its core, Jenn explains, Community is a show about what it means to love people.
Characters evolved and became better versions of themselves through their relationships. Jenn explores these themes in the podcast. She discusses plot, characterization, wardrobe, story structure, and recurring jokes. She brings on special guests, like her friend Jamie, who first introduced her to Community. Jenn and her friends reminisce and analyze their favorite sitcom. Longtime fans and first-time watchers can laugh along while listening to this podcast.
