It is comforting to know that the great patriarch, Abraham, had a problem that we are all too familiar with ourselves. He had a hard time waiting on the Lord. He had a hard time trusting that God would be faithful to keep His covenant or His promises. Abraham tried to protect himself. He lied a lot. He tried to enforce his own plans over God's plans with dire results. God's ever-present trees continue to play an important role in His story.
