Ep 8- Pushing through fear and anxiety.
Jan 16 2023
Ep 8- Pushing through fear and anxiety.
Pushing through Fear and anxiety.  Becoming more professional, making small improvements along the way.  Regenerating your body and mind, while creating Business stamina.  You can always scale your business as it grows but first you need to start.  Don’t let other people’s comments stop you, God gave you the vision. And more… Ep. 8 - Pushing through Fear and Anxiety. :40 – Having a hard time getting started. 1:10 – Creating a new intro, getting more professional, Improve upon our opening for each episode. 1:50 – At a Basketball birthday party we were talking to each other living in our own little world right now because we have this special thing that we are doing.    2:40 - One of our basketball moms said, “That’s exactly where I am right now” and wants to be our next to interview. 3:20 - Husband started talking about our podcast and said that people are getting really excited about it and I started to shut down. 4:00 - Fear of success and overwhelm. What if I can’t fulfill it. We have to live up to it. 4:22 – We haven’t even launched yet.  We are about to launch; we are so close. 4:50 – During a chat with an industry partner, collaborating, I could visualize the success and said to her, “What if I can’t fulfill the need of people.” That’s ok, that’s when you hire more people.  5:30 - Scale a business is always an option. You can but you have to start. 5:45 – I am scared… 6:40 - In listening back to our first episodes I thought, “I love us, I would totally listen to us if I didn’t know us!” 7:00 – A text from Ariella, “I think this might be a movement!” 7:24 - We have people that want to be interviewed by us. 7:50 - I felt a kinship to this woman because we had this thing in common, you may not be able to talk about it with others. We are building a community. 8:55 - Finding a way to push through that fear. Focus on what you are providing the world. Can’t let fear stop us. 9:50 - There is a great thing if we jump and start something new. But can’t let the fear if success stop us. 10:50 - I had my days too where I shut down, a couple days later met with Ariella and got excited again. 11:17 – The responsibility of it once we let it out.  If someone thinks we are doing this thing and they talk to others about it we have to be there to do it.  11:55 - In the beginning of creating Fuller Life, felt the fear of success, it created a stall tactic that may have stopped me from starting. 12:42 – If you have to take a pause, just keep listening to us to build that MOMentum again until you are ready to do what you are meant to do. 13:25 - Real life journey, not edited for Hollywood. We don’t know if we will have success. 13:57 - There are all these phases’ people go through. When we see someone successful, we don’t know what journey they took to get there.  Being vulnerable is ok. 14:50 - Don’t let other people’s thoughts or comments affect the way you move forward.  It’s their way of protecting you. They don’t understand your vision that is in your mind. 15:50 – Trent Shelton (actual quote) – “Your vision is YOUR vision. God gave you the vision. They are your glasses, that the prescription is meant for you.” 16:41 – I had past successes but not all the way. Loose interest and let it go. But I did it alone. 17:55 – Your body and mind need to regenerate itself.  Build that stamina and move forward. 19:18 – Focus on what it's going to take to move you forward rather than what is stopping you and holding you back. 22:00 – We have something in common: “Be Kind” is really important to both of us. We want to be ethical, supportive, add value, bring people up with us, that is the community we want to build. 25:00 – As I started Fuller Life, I could CLEARLY see the vision, but it was so hard to explain. But everyone I have shared it with have been so positive and said, “This is something needed in the world.” It can be of huge service. 26:40 – I had a get up and write moment. Write out your thoughts or Business Plan. Part of our doubts is that we don’t know how to explain what we want to do. Push through your fears. Don’t afraid to be vulnerable… We figured out how to set up Affiliates!  Before signing up for Podbean click here: https://www.podbean.com/ourmomentum   We figured out how to set up ads! Mar 13 2023
Ep. 17 Menina Fortunato-This Mom Sure Can Pivot

Ep. 17-Menina Fortunato - This Mom Sure Can Pivot. 1:53 – In 2016 we moved back to Canada to raise our family. 3:40 – Before having children, I used to tour with Earth Wind & Fire, Rain, Luis Miguel, and others. I toured until I was four and a half months pregnant. 4:53 – I always knew a dance mom in the city that I was touring in to help with babysitting. 5:53 – Every summer I would travel to L.A. with my kids to run The Hollywood Summer Tour. 7:03 – Going to work was a vacation, I had all this me time. 8:08 – I love my work; I love what I do. I have never had a regular 9-5 job my entire life. I have evolved my entire career around dance and had to pivot a lot. 9:12 – During the pandemic, my events business which was my main bread and butter completely stopped overnight. Had to pivot again. 10:17 – I did my first online event over the summer and live streamed in L.A., Vegas, and London while I was in Vancouver. 12:05 – I was stuck at home, and I needed to get back in shape, so I turned that into something. 13:13 – I was undercharging and that was a whole thing. It’s hard to know what to charge people online. 14:15 – Mom’s will spend anything on their children but not when it comes to themselves. 16:00 – I started a whole library of videos that moms can watch on their time and added nutrition, chef, mindset. 16:50 – I hired a business coach that specializes in high ticket sales, it was a big investment. 18:40 – On Demand is pre-recorded lessons that they do on their time. Plus, I had weekly accountability coaching. I also added nutrition, mindset, 19:40 – Social Media Marketing is where I found most of my clients; MOM groups in Facebook are where a majority came from. 21:00 – To create each video I used my iPhone, ring light, lavalier mic plugged into computer separately, edited and overlayed video, sound, and music in final cut, using royalty free music. 24:21 – How do you know when to invest and how much to invest? If you want to make a lot of money, you need to invest in yourself and expand your mind.  26:52 – Arman Sheffey from high ticket coaching helped Menina pivot again.  32:30 – Instead of throwing spaghetti at the wall, find someone who has done it and short cut your success rate. 39:00 – I took the framework that I learned from my coach, pitched a 6-month mentorship program to dive deep with dancers and creating a career for them. 41:00 – How do you pick just one of your products to promote and be known for? 43:50 – Instead of focusing on high volume of sales, have less clients at a higher ticket and really nurture them.  They get better results and refer a friend, everyone wins. 49:05 – I think I am on to something here. I started the Hollywood Sumer Tour in 2006 and I still love it, but I have created something better for my lifestyle as a mom. 52:00 - I felt like I was a jack of all trades and a master of none. Now that I am focused, I can connect the right people to help serve my clients.   Find Menina at the following links: https://www.instagram.com/meninafortunato https://www.facebook.com/meninafortunato https://www.youtube.com/meninaf www.meninaentertainment.com  and www.meninafortunato.com   Some Background on the hosts!
