How God Uses Man’s Schemes to Accomplish His Plans – Part 1
GUEST: ALEX NEWMAN, Journalist and CEO, Liberty Sentinel MediaIf you sense that a major transformation is taking place in our nation—and around the world—you are correct. The final book of the Bible, Revelation, tells us what the world will be like in the future prior to Christ’s return—a globalized world led by an authoritarian leader who exerts strict control over peoples and societies, all in opposition to God.So how do we get from here to there? After all, the world is currently comprised of nation states with diversified leadership. In fact, our own nation, the most powerful, affluent, autonomous, Christian-influenced nation in history, is the biggest impediment to a globalized system. But that is changing before our eyes. Everything our nation has been known for—military might, financial strength, legal justice, social cohesion, Christian values—is being undermined and remade. Those without a Biblical worldview are cheering this on because they believe (correctly) that America must decrease for globalism to increase. The Bible’s prophecies about the future will be fulfilled just as ones made about the past were fulfilled. There is no thwarting God’s plan. In fact, the amazing thing is how God uses the sinful schemes of man to accomplish His plans. Christians don’t need to be anxious about our transformative time but rather should prepare and shine.Alex Newman, award-winning journalist and CEO of Liberty Sentinel Media, joins us this weekend and next to discuss how seven pillars upholding our society—national defense, energy, financial, political, legal, social, and spiritual—are purposely being crumbled in order to achieve a “Great Reset”.Be informed so you can prepare for what’s ahead!---------------------FOR A DONATION OF ANY AMOUNT: We are offering a DVD of Alex Newman’s 2022 presentation on “The Great Reset” including slides and video documenting the planned “Reset” accompany Alex’s presentation. 82 mins. How Julie Roys’ Attempted Takedown of John MacArthur is a Battle in a Larger War – Part 2

How Julie Roys’ Attempted Takedown of John MacArthur is a Battle in a Larger War – Part 2
GUEST: PASTOR TRAVIS ALLEN, Grace Church (Greeley, CO)Julie Roys calls herself a Christian investigative reporter, focusing on abuse and corruption within the Evangelical church. Hailing from Chicago, her reporting has led to prominent pastors and Christian leaders like James MacDonald, Bill Hybels, Ravi Zacharias, and Mark Driscoll being discredited and removed. For the past several years, she has set her sights on John MacArthur, one of the most respected pastors of the last half century. MacArthur has pastored Grace Community Church in Los Angeles for 54 years and oversees a ministry of worldwide influence including, The Master’s Seminary, The Master’s University, and Grace to You, a daily radio program. In column after column, Roys has accused Grace Community Church and John MacArthur of protecting male abusers of women in the church and shaming the women they allegedly abused. These are serious allegations. The recurring thread in her accusations is that MacArthur’s complementarianism—the biblical doctrine based on 1 Corinthians 11:3; 14:33-34, Ephesians 5:22-24, 1 Timothy 2:12, 1 Peter 3:1-7, Colossians 3:18-19, and other passages that God has prescribed men only to be pastors and elders in the church and hold headship in the home—has led to abuse of women and excessive discipline of children.Last week in Part 1 we looked into who Julie Roys is and what her beliefs are. We also examined two of the prominent counseling cases at Grace Community Church she has highlighted as proving abuse. This week in Part 2, Pastor Travis Allen will join us. He currently pastors Grace Church in Greeley, CO but was formerly an elder at Grace Community Church and the managing director of Grace to You. He was at the church when the David and Eileen Gray counseling case took place.Travis will discuss a recent Christianity Today article that featured an interview with the one elder out of 37 at Grace Community Church who sided with Julie Roys. Travis will also explain how these attacks on MacArthur are a battle in a larger war.

How Julie Roys’ Attempted Takedown of John MacArthur is a Battle in a Larger War
You’re probably heard or read something about the conflict brewing and intensifying over a professing Christian investigative journalist, named Julie Roys of Chicago, accusing pastor John MacArthur and Grace Community Church in California of protecting male abusers and shaming females in counseling cases that have taken place within the church over the years.Article after article, tweet after tweet, comment after comment has been written by Julie Roys and her allies against John MacArthur. Roys has called for MacArthur to be removed from preaching engagements and his daily radio program, Grace to You, to be taken off the air. She and others want John MacArthur “cancelled”.Grace Community Church and John MacArthur rightfully won’t answer outside accusations regarding inside church matters. But we at The Christian Worldview, not affiliated with Grace Community Church or John MacArthur in any way (although grateful for his preaching ministry), think it’s important to discern these public accusations in light of the following:What are the beliefs and goals of the accuser? What are the beliefs and reputation of the accused? Are conclusions being made that shouldn’t be made? And importantly, should church outsiders hold sway over inside church matters, rather than the church’s pastors, elders, and members addressing them?We will examine the accusations of Julie Roys against Grace Community Church and John MacArthur to see how this is indicative of a larger war in Evangelicalism to dismantle the biblical command for male eldership in the church and male headship in the home. This week we’ll look at the details of the situation and then next week pastor Travis Allen of Grace Church in Greeley, CO, and former elder at Grace Community Church in CA, will join us.-----------------------------------Related Articles:RELATED ARTICLES:Opinion: An Open Letter to John MacArthur by Julie RoysEXCLUSIVE: John MacArthur Shamed, Excommunicated Mother for Refusing to Take Back Child Abuser by Julie Roysvs.Judge Julie: Accusing a Shepherd by David MorrillRoys vs MacArthur: Anatomy of a Smear by David Morrill

Revival: Biblically, Historically, and Asbury – Part 2
GUEST: JEREMY WALKER, pastor and writer/presenter, REVIVAL documentary filmLast week in Part 1 of our interview with Jeremy Walker, pastor of Maidenbower Baptist Church in Crawley, England and the writer and host of a documentary film titled, REVIVAL: The Work of God, we discussed what revival is and a few examples of when and where it has taken place over the last 500 years in the United Kingdom and the United States.Revival is not primarily evangelizing non-believers but rather God enlivening believers within the local church to greater holiness and obedience…which often leads to greater proclamation of the gospel and non-believers being saved.Personal and church revival is something every Christian should pray for and pursue through what the film terms “the ordinary means of grace” rather than man crafting the means and methods he believes will stimulate revival. This weekend in Part 2, Jeremy Walker will again join us to discuss times of revival led by preachers like Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield, the Wesley brothers, and others. He will also charge us with how we should pray for and pursue revival today.NOTE: The documentary film “REVIVAL: The Work of God” is our new featured resource. This two-hour presentation looks at periods of revival over the past 500 years in the UK and US, covering the Reformation, Puritan Era, Scotland, Wales, the Great Awakenings and more. Normal retail is $40 plus shipping which includes the two disc set plus 14 hours of bonus content.

Revival: Biblically, Historically, and Asbury - Part 1
GUEST: JEREMY WALKER, pastor and writer/presenter, Revival documentary filmThe term “revival” conveys the idea of “coming back to life” or “increasing in strength or intensity”. The word doesn’t appear in Scripture and yet there were times in the Bible or in history when Christians and churches revived spiritually, characterized by such things as fervent repentance of sin, earnest pleading in prayer, deep commitment to holiness, and boldness in proclaiming the truth and the gospel.Christians were revived, nonbelievers were saved, and even communities were impacted with the good graces of God.This weekend on The Christian Worldview, we will look back in history to examine what led to times of revival, such as the Reformation in Europe and the Great Awakening in America.Jeremy Walker will be our guest. Jeremy is the pastor of Maidenbower Baptist Church in Crawley, England and the writer and host of a brand new documentary film entitled “Revival: The Work of God”, which surveys great times of revival in the United Kingdom and the United States, featuring both well-known and lesser-known people and places. We will also discuss what is being called a revival on the campus of Asbury University, a Christian liberal arts college in Wilmore, KY. For over two weeks, first students and then others from around the country have gathered continually in an auditorium for mostly music and prayer.------------------------Related Article:Holy FOMO?Related Resource:REVIVAL: The Work of God
How To Be Sure of Eternity in Heaven

How To Be Sure of Eternity in Heaven
“Hope” in Scripture can be defined as the believer’s assurance that the blessings God promises for the future will occur. It’s joyful expectation of an unrealized future reality. The greatest, most joy-producing promise that God has made is that His Son Jesus Christ is going to return to earth to bring His followers to heaven for eternity.1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.”Whether you believe this describes the rapture of church-age believers or simply the second coming of Christ to resurrect believers to rule and reign with him, the result is the same—Christ will raise the earthly bodies of believers (whether dead or alive), transform the perishable bodies into imperishable bodies, reuniting the soul and spirit with the imperishable body to spend eternity in heaven. Why is this the greatest hope? Because eternity in the presence of God is the greatest blessing, especially in light of the alternative—unending torment in the lake of fire. Listen to how Jesus describes the eternity of hell: “If your eye causes you to stumble, throw it out; it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than, having two eyes, to be cast into hell, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.” (Mark 9:47-48).There is no more poignant, rubber-meets-the-road test of what you believe, what your hope is, than when a loved one dies or when you are facing death yourself. How can one have assurance of going to heaven rather than doubt or dread of hell? How can one have faith in a realm that we can’t see or touch? Join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview as we discuss the trustworthy God who will keep His greatest promise.

What Really Happens When You’re Born Again? - rebroadcast of 08/20/22 program
GUEST: DR. STEVEN LAWSON, author, New Life in ChristConfusion characterizes our world. Or maybe delusion is the better word, in that people are deluded by others or just self-deluded.There are no shortage of “experts”—politicians, scientists, teachers, professors, writers, speakers, journalists, analysts, commentators, influencers, and yes, Christian leaders—confidently making assertions about all matters of life and faith. So if you’re pondering what is going wrong in the world, you will hear all kinds of responses—“racism, inequality, lack of education, capitalistic greed, moral corruption”—with all manner of proposed solutions, mostly promoting some new government program or law or political candidate.Despite all the talk, confusion and delusion still reign. People don’t know who or what to believe about what’s going on and don’t understand the root cause of the problems.Because all of Scripture is inspired by the holy and perfect God, Christians have a foundation for discerning truth from error, right from wrong, and wisdom from foolishness.Dr. Steven Lawson, president of OnePassion Ministries, expository preacher, and author of New Life in Christ: What Really Happens When You’re Born Again and Why It Matters, joins us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss:What is going on in the world right now?Why has there been division over the issue of “social justice”?What does it mean to be born again? Please join us for this important program.
How the Abortion Movement Has Become More Radical Post-Roe v. Wade

How the Abortion Movement Has Become More Radical Post-Roe v. Wade
GUEST: COLLEEN TRONSON, Executive Director, Metro Women’s CenterAmericans like to think of our nation and people as “exceptional”, providing an example of goodness, charity, even Christianity, to the rest of the world. There is some truth to this. America has been immeasurably blessed in resources and liberties and has spread innovation and freedom across the world. But if we are honest, this nation has also become perhaps the greatest consumer and exporter of moral wickedness, such as sexual immorality in its many forms and the murder of pre-born children.Consider the 1973 Supreme Court decision called Roe v. Wade that led to abortion—the intentional murder of pre-born human beings—becoming legal in this country. A mind-numbing 63 million pre-born babies have been killed since then. That is nearly 20% of the current population of the United States. No matter how it’s rationalized—“women’s health care”, “my body, my choice”, “reproductive rights”—the reality is that, every day, pregnant women enter hospitals and clinics where abortionists kill or dismember and extract pre-born human beings. The Bible says about the pre-born child: “For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:13-14).There was great celebration by those who oppose abortion when Roe v. Wade was overturned in the summer of 2022. But alas, Satan never relents in fomenting sin and evil in the hearts of humans. With abortion now being a matter for each state to decide, extreme bills are being pushed through state legislatures that remove almost all limits on abortion. Our home state of Minnesota is currently passing one of the most radical abortion bills in the country.Colleen Tronson, executive director of Metro Women’s Center in Minnesota, joins us on The Christian Worldview to discuss how the abortion landscape is changing, the rise of the abortion pill, and how Christians can get involved to save lives and proclaim the hope of the gospel.-------------------"180" Film from Ray Comfort.  This award-winning, evangelistic documentary carries a unique pro-life message in which you will see eight people change their minds about abortion in a matter of seconds…because they were asked one question. 33 mins  Purchase the DVD or stream for free.  Links available at TheChristianWorldview.orgWhy Pro-life? Is the Covid “Vaccine” Causing Sudden Deaths?

Is the Covid “Vaccine” Causing Sudden Deaths?
GUEST: PETER McCULLOUGH, MD MPH, cardiologist and author, The Courage to Face COVID-19 In early 2020, news reports began to emerge of a new virus from China spreading across the globe called COVID-19. Carried across the ocean via airline passengers, Americans began to catch the respiratory virus with a small percentage even dying of complications. Fear and panic spread even faster than the virus. Would this be the next black plague, which killed 30% to 60% of all Europeans?Medical authorities like the CDC, NIH, and WHO recommended a near-shutdown of society and federal, state, and local governments implemented mandatory masking, physical distancing, closures of businesses, schools, and churches, strictures on travel, and much more. At first we were told to stay put for “15 days to stop the spread”…which turned into more than two years of unprecedented restrictions.2020 just happened (wink, wink) to be a presidential election year. President Donald Trump had led the country to energy independence and a robust economy and looked the heavy favorite to win a second term. But the hysteria created over COVID-19 narrowed the focus of the country to only one issue—“save me from COVID” despite the fact that a small percentage of people who contracted COVID actually died from it.Voting regulations were slackened to allow people to vote early and by mail so there wouldn’t be crowding of the polls on election day. Career politician Joe Biden, who hardly campaigned due to fear of COVID, unbelievably (in the literal sense of the word) garnered 81 million votes, the most of any president in history. In late 2020, an experimental-use COVID vaccine was quickly rolled out. This was a new kind of vaccine, not manufactured from a dead virus as usual, but with an mRNA genetic substance that had never been used on the general public. No worries though—videos and photos of public officials and celebrities rolling up their sleeve to receive the shot were meant to assure the public that “the science” had saved us again. The marketing campaign for all Americans to get the shot was relentless. Everyone, and I mean everyone, even those who were not in “susceptible demographics” (old or underlying health problems) were told that getting the vaccine would keep you from getting or transmitting the virus (a lie). Professing Christians like NIH director Francis Collins and Ed Stetzer shamed and guilted Christians that getting the vaccine was about “loving your neighbor”. In the end, 80% of Americans received at least one dose of the vaccine.More could be said, much more actually, but here we are now in early 2023, two years after the release of the vaccine, and chilling reports and videos are surfacing daily of the vaccinated falling over and dying suddenly, typically from cardiac arrest. Suppressed by the media and dismissed by authorities as “disinformation”, the occurrences are indisputable that something has gone terribly wrong.Peter McCullough, MD MPH is our guest today on The Christian Worldview to discuss if the COVID vaccine is causing sudden and excessive deaths. He is a highly respected cardiologist who developed an early treatment protocol for COVID that has saved tens of thousands of lives (including my own parents). For that, and now his stand against the vaccine, Dr. McCullough has been vilified and ostracized by the mainstream medical community.-----------------Related Resources:The Courage to Face COVID by John Leake and Peter McCullough, MD MPH" rel="nofollow">

How Christians Should Respond to the Depravity Revolution - Part 2
GUEST: ANDREW DeBARTOLO, Director of Operations, Liberty Coalition CanadaWhat emerged as the sexual revolution in the mid-1960s in America—the mainstreaming of heterosexual sex and cohabitation outside marriage, unbiblical divorce leading to adulterous remarriage, and pornography—has, this century, descended even further into a depravity revolution. The apostle Paul in Romans 1 describes the judgment of God “giving over” those who “suppress the truth in unrighteousness” in three successive stages of decline—from “impure” heterosexual immorality (vs. 24-25) to the “degrading passions” of “unnatural” homosexuality (vs. 26-27) to “a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper” (vs. 28-32).What is “not proper” is for men scantily dressed as women to sexually dance in front of young children or for government elementary school teachers to approvingly teach students about homosexuality and transgenderism without their parents knowledge or for doctors and hospitals to perform irreversible and harmful surgeries on the sexual organs of children. That those at the highest levels of governing authority consider this “gender affirming care” further explains the wickedness that all Democrats in the US House, except one, voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which will require that babies who survive an abortion receive life-saving medical treatment. In other words, the Democrats voted to let babies die without help. Pause and mourn the free fall into heartless murder and depravity to which our people have descended. This weekend in part 2, Andrew DeBartolo of Liberty Coalition Canada will again join us to discuss “How Christians Should Respond to the Depravity Revolution”. Because it has not only infected every corner of society but it has broken into the church as well.-----------------------How Christians Should Respond to the Depravity Revolution – Part 1Related Resource for a donation of any amount:In His Image DVDUpcoming Event:Biblical Sexuality Sunday: On Sunday, January 15, 2023, Liberty Coalition is again encouraging pastors around the world to preach a message on Biblical Sexuality. How Christians Should Respond to the Depravity Revolution – Part 1
GUEST: ANDREW DeBARTOLO, Director of Operations, Liberty Coalition CanadaFrom the beginning, men and women have always resisted God’s design for marriage, sex, and gender.God designed marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman…and man soon took multiple wives. God designed sex for procreation and unity within one man one woman marriage…and man soon engaged in prostitution, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and other reprobation. God created each person either male or female…and man soon desired and dressed to be the opposite.Pre- and extra-marital sex, unbiblical divorce, and abortion were early signs that God’s moral design was being jettisoned in our nation, but now, as Romans 1 describes, a full-blown depravity revolution is rushing headlong toward a zenith. That which Scripture describes as “unnatural” (Romans 1)—homosexuality—has become mainstreamed legally and culturally. Now the same can be said for transgenderism. Only the desperately wicked heart of man knows where he/she will next seek sinful pleasure apart from God.Christians and the church are necessarily caught in the whirlwind of the depravity revolution. We can’t affirm what the Bible clearly calls sin. We love sinners enough to tell them “the wages of sin is death”. We live and work and educate in a system that has chosen the side of God-rejection and persecutes and prosecutes those who don’t “comply”.Why has the depravity revolution become so prominent? Can’t Christians just “stay out of the way”? If not, how should Christians respond to open promotion of it everywhere—from government leaders, in schools, at “drag shows”, with laws, even in churches?Andrew DeBartolo, is a teaching elder at Encounter Church in Ontario and director of operations at Liberty Coalition Canada. He joins us this weekend and next to answer this question and more so Christians and the church are informed and prepared.------------------Related Resource for a donation of any amount:In His Image DVDUpcoming Event:Biblical Sexuality Sunday: On Sunday, January 15, 2023, Liberty Coalition is again encouraging pastors around the world to preach a message on Biblical Sexuality. Read Through the Bible This Year and Properly Interpret It
[This program is a rebroadcast of a previously aired program on January 08, 2022]GUEST: PAUL TWISS, Instructor of Bible Exposition, The Master’s SeminaryMany Christians begin a new year with the goal of reading through the entire Bible. It is an excellent and attainable endeavor, one that will help the believer better understand God and His purposes. Since “all Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Tim. 3:16), the one who reads through the Bible is hearing directly from God on a daily basis! That being said, the Bible is a big book, written by 40 authors on three continents in three languages (Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic) over a span of 1500 years. Grasping how the history, culture, narratives, poetry, and prophecy of the the Old Testament form one cohesive revelation with the gospels, history, culture, letters, and prophecy of the New Testament can be challenging.Which is why we have asked Paul Twiss, pastor and instructor of Bible exposition at The Master’s Seminary, to join us on The Christian Worldview. Paul has created a handful of short videos entitled “Everyday Theologian” to help Christians accurately interpret the various parts of Scripture. We will also discuss the call for pastors to preach on Biblical sexual morality on Sunday, January 15 in light of the new law in Canada that will criminalize those who preach/speak about God’s clear design for sex and gender. Finally, thank you to so many of you who generously supported the ministry of The Christian Worldview at the end of 2022. You embolden us to keep standing firm on God’s Word and the gospel!------------------------ Read Through the Bible Reading Plans-  Everyday Theologian - video series with Paul Twiss.>> Related Programs:- The B-I-B-L-E. The Christ of Christmas

The Christ of Christmas
This weekend’s program is a NEW program for 2022 and was prepared to focus our attention on the Christ of Christmas. In the left column are resources and ideas for you to use personally with your own families.  The Christian Worldview wishes all of you a memorable and meaningful Christmas.  To God be all Glory!Christmas is upon us. While it’s easy to get distracted by all that competes for our attention—current events and politics, work and school, sports and recreation, travel and material things, even family and church—there is really only one most important issue and that is the person of Jesus Christ and what He has done for mankind.Jesus said, “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36).That couldn’t be more clear. Where you spend eternity hinges on whether you place your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.Christmas is the time when Christians remember and celebrate God sending His Son into our world, born of a virgin woman, mighty and holy in word and deed, and loving and sacrificial in offering His perfect life to satisfy God’s wrath and justice for our sins.Today will be a program to think about not Christmas generally, but the Christ of Christmas specifically. We will read God’s word, listen to some music, even do a Christmas quiz, all to appreciate and worship the God/Man, the Lord Jesus Christ. For none of us would have any hope without His “One Solitary Life”.---------------CHRISTMAS RESOURCES for you and your family:QUIZ/POEMS/READINGS:Christmas QuizHistory behind I Heard the Bells on Christmas DayOne Solitary LifeOn Going Home for ChristmasVIDEO:The Gospel | Paul WasherTreasures of the Snow filmThe Legend of the Candy CaneTruce in the Forest short filmHans Brinker film Amazon | YoutubeMUSIC:O Holy Night | Phil WebbThe Messiah | Robert ShawTCW Christmas 2022 (Spotify)

TOPIC: Principles for Selecting Christian Music - Part 1
GUEST: CHRIS ANDERSON, pastor and author, Theology That Sticks“Houston, we have a problem.” That’s a slight misquote version of what an Apollo 13 astronaut said to NASA Mission Control in Houston after an explosion harmed their spacecraft back in 1970.That was a physical, life-threatening problem. But there are even bigger God-dishonoring problems in the Evangelical church today. The preaching of weak or unsound doctrine is one. Another is the message and methodology of music in the church. While music in sound churches over the centuries was mainly congregational singing of Psalms and hymns with or without musical instruments, that all changed over the past 60 years with the introduction of Christian Contemporary Music (CCM). The worldview driving this believes that the form of rock ’n’ roll, soft rock, and rap glorifies God and attracts people to Christianity by simply swapping secular lyrics for Christian lyrics. And yet the result has been compromise. Instead of congregations belting out inspired Psalms or sound hymns, shallow, repetitive, mesmerizing, error-filled songs fill nearly every space in Evangelicalism. The water may have flooded over the dam but our guest this weekend and next will help Christians and churches select “songs, hymns, and spiritual songs” (Ephesians 5) that are sound in theology, honoring to God and edifying for us. His name is Chris Anderson. He’s a former pastor of 25 years and author of several well-known hymns, including “His Robes for Mine”. He is also the author of the new book, Theology That Sticks—The Life-Changing Power of Exceptional Hymns.

Thanksgiving Special – The Pilgrims’ Beliefs and the Founding of America
** This program was previously aired 11/27/21 but the DVD offer is available again for a short time.GUEST: DR. JERRY NEWCOMBE, producer, The Pilgrims documentaryA small group of biblical Christians known as the the Pilgrims are widely considered to be “the founders of America”.Numbering only about 400-500 souls, they had fled religious persecution in England to settle in Holland. But after ten years there, they decided on another move across the Atlantic Ocean to an unknown land that would become the United States.About 50 Pilgrims were on the first vessel called The Mayflower, arriving in modern-day Cape Cod in Massachusetts in November 1620. One year later in November 1621, after a brutal winter in which many of them died, they celebrated a bountiful harvest with local Indians who had helped them in what has become known as the first Thanksgiving. The Pilgrims and their biblical beliefs which led directly to the principles of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution 150 years have been mostly forgotten by the majority of our population. “Separation of church and state” is a sacrament of mainstream society today…but it wasn’t to the Pilgrims. They said they came to America “for the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith.”Dr. Jerry Newcombe, producer of the documentary film, The Pilgrims, joins us this Thanksgiving weekend on The Christian Worldview to discuss the Pilgrims’ story and what they believed and lived by. For in them we have an example for how we can live in our pilgrimage in a contrary world.
Are You Ready to be Persecuted for the Sake of Righteousness?

Are You Ready to be Persecuted for the Sake of Righteousness?
Guest: Cal Beisner, President, The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation This past week, the U.S. Senate passed a bill, with every Democrat and 12 Republicans voting in favor, that is deceptively called “The Respect for Marriage Act.”In fact, the bill, now sure to be passed by the Democrat-majority U.S. House (before the Republican majority kicks in next year) and then signed by Democrat president Joe Biden, will overturn the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and codify homosexual “marriage” into federal law.But aren’t homosexuals already able to “marry” one another? Yes, but this bill would federalize homosexual “marriage” so states could not establish a contrary law and will be a bulwark should the Supreme Court’s 2015 Obergefell decision be overturned. That case banned any state from denying homosexual “marriages”.But even more sinister is the authority the bill offers to prosecute those individuals and organizations (like Christian schools) who hold to the Biblical one-man one-woman definition of marriage. This sets the stage for far more persecution of truth-tellers than ever before. It may not seem related but the end goal of the United Nation’s COP 27 climate change conference that just concluded in Egypt is the same—to control and command people into compliance to a new world order of God-rejecting values. During the conference, an interfaith delegation held an event at Mt. Sinai (where Moses received the 10 Commandments) called “Returning to Sinai—A Prophetic Call for Climate Justice and Ceremony of Repentance” where they laid out and then smashed their own 10 climate commandments.Jesus said in His Sermon on the Mount, “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:10-12).The whole point of these events is to promote evil and punish those who stand for God’s word. Unless or until the Supreme Court intervenes, it will likely be open season on Christians who stand for Biblical truth.Cal Beisner, president of The Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation, joins us this weekend to examine these issues and how they will impact you.---------------------Related Resources:Global Warming Skepticism for Busy PeopleGlobal Warming DVD
