Alex recently transferred to Eleven:6 partner school, Anchor Christian University, while immersing in the dynamics of serving adults with developmental disabilities via the Leadership in Disabilities internship at Arrowhead Bible Camp (PA). Her dream... launch a nonprofit ministry (art studio) serving adults with disabilities. Her game plan... complete her undergrad and master's degrees via the deeply integrated programs at Arrowhead, while building and broadening her toolbox. Oh, and make a ton of impact along the way.

Ben Myers has been leading Arrowhead Bible Camp in Brackney, PA, for almost two decades, from a solo effort to a growing team of dynamic emerging leaders.   During that time, he finished his undergraduate degree and his master’s degree via Eleven:6 integrated programs with Clarks Summit University, one of our partner schools.  He then began investing that value in transforming the camp into a discipleship platform, using the principles and platforms – with his own powerful gift mix and skill toolbox – to shape and launch young leaders into their calling.  And he has strategically partnered with us along the way to plug into accredited degree pathways.  That includes creating The Launch Initiative (TLI), their Christian gap year program, and the Leadership in Disabilities (LID) program, a multi-year internship with undergraduate and graduate degree pathway options. Our conversation hits a range of topics, from the unique dynamics of leading a fast-growing program for individuals with developmental disabilities, to launching and running integrated college and master's degree programs with Eleven:6, to leadership tips for next gen leaders, and a passionate focus on developing a dynamic faith-driven ministry culture... "at the speed of obedience."

Recently, I had an opportunity to talk with Maddie McCaffrey, who is currently enrolled in The Launch Initiative (TLI) gap year at Arrowhead Camp, a long-time frontline ministry partner of Eleven:6.  She is also enrolled for a full load of college courses integrated throughout TLI via Anchor Christian University. We talk about Maddie’s personal journey, how she connected with the camp, her experiences so far, and what she’s learning.

Recently, I had an opportunity to grab a conversation with Joel Becker, who is currently serving as the Program Specialist, shepherding ⁠The Launch Initiative (TLI)⁠ Christian gap year, and ⁠Leadership in Disabilities (LID) internship⁠ programs at ⁠Arrowhead Bible Camp⁠, a frontline ministry partner of ⁠Eleven:6⁠.  Joel’s story is a powerful example of how an intentional approach to stewarding God-designed potential and purpose accelerates and amplifies the process.  Through our partnership with ⁠Anchor Christian University⁠ and partners like Arrowhead Camp, Joel will complete an MA Christian Leadership degree in Spring 2024.
