EPISODE 79: Sound Editor Mike James Gallagher and Supervising Sound Editor Anthony Vanchure, whose collaboration on the documentary Lucy and Desi earned the pair an Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Sound Editing.”  Mike and Anthony most recently worked on the biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, which premiered at TIFF and is now available on Roku. Mike worked as the film's main Sound Designer and Sound Editor, and Anthony worked as the Supervising Sound Editor. The film stars Daniel Radcliffe and explores the life of the famous parody singer Weird Al Yankovic in an alternate reality. In addition to his work in film sound departments, Mike is also the creator of INDEPTH Sound Design, an educational platform and a treasure trove of sound design inspiration.
