Fixing Your Want To
"What style of shoe do you like to wear?" This is a common question we start every show with. Well, today my guest is Wendy Wallace. Wendy gives a very unique answer. Back in 2011, Wendy contracted a flesh-eating bacteria. What started as flu symptoms, progressed into a life-threatening illness within three days. The doctors told her husband and kids that I had less than a 1% chance of survival and to plan for her passing. Wendy's husband's reply was, “You don’t know my God and what He can do!” Her family never lost faith. Word spread and hundreds of people prayed.  God saved her life. After three weeks in a medically-induced coma and three months in the hospital, she came home to a new way of living. Her family loved, supported, and cared for me. Stop letting your challenges derail your faith! Join me as we try our best to keep up with Wendy.👟 To attend the event with Wendy click on the below link. Radiant Resilience: A Virtual Event for Empowering Kingdom Women to Pursue Joy, Peace, Fulfillment, and Faith through Life's StormsIt's a 5-day eventDates:  Sept. 18-22https://oneexceptionallife.lpages.co/summit-optin/ 👟 Remember when you walk in Other People's Shoes you get a different perspective!👟Other People's Shoes would love your financial gift to help support the show click here👟If you enjoy the show, consider subscribing to your podcast platforms so you don't miss an episode. The Voice Within The Mask
Imagine for a moment your father putting you in a trash can and saying to you "This is where you belong." What would that do to you? How long would that one event stick with you? My guest today is Dr. Mark McNear. Mark grew up hearing harsh words that undermined his desire to take initiative in life. After struggling with abuse, addictions, and rehab, Mark wondered fearfully what would happen next. Now, Mark McNear wakes up each morning with joy in his heart. He is filled with hope and longs for you to experience the same hope. He found hope through Jesus. And now Dr. McNear wants to share that God loves you and accepts you just as you are, right there in the messiness of your life. He’s pursuing you, and you won’t regret opening the door of your life to Him—or to other people who are available and able to help you in your recovery from trauma. If you want to take steps toward healing from your past, you don’t have to go it alone: get help and begin your story of hope! Whatever you are walking through, you can find encouragement. The Battle Over The Mask

The Battle Over The Mask
How are you fighting this battle? My guest today is Fred Stoeker. . Fred stops by to share why he wrote this new book "Battle On, Battle Over".  Fred believes you can achieve victory in your battle for sexual purity--Starting Today! Fred shares we live in a culture that's awash in pornography and sexual sin. For the first time in history, a growing percentage of women have been swept up by the same savage undertow as men, and they are drowning together in this heaving, destructive sea. Perhaps you've been gripped by the same relentless riptide, and it's yanking you into a dark, addictive abyss, causing you to wonder if there's a way out. Is sexual freedom even possible these days? The answer is an affirmative yes, according to Brenda and Fred Stoeker. (Husband and wife) In their remarkably frank and brutally honest book, they zero in on the root causes of sexual sin and highlight a major vulnerability in both male and female sexuality that sets you up for a fall. The modern-day scourge of sexual temptation is as close as the nearest smartphone, but Brenda and Fred will give you a roadmap to freedom. You'll discover how to shut down your sexual sin and experience total victory for the rest of your life. Whether you're a man or a woman, if you have significant issues with pornography and sexual self-stimulation, let Battle On, Battle Over be your guide to conquering these foes once and for all.  Join me as I try on Fred's size 14 wide shoes today. 👟To learn more about Fred click belowhttps://fredstoeker.com/👟Remember when you walk in Other People's Shoes you get a different perspective!👟Other People's Shoes would love your financial gift to help support the show click here👟If you enjoy the show, consider subscribing to your podcast platforms so you don't miss an episode. Finally Unmasked

Finally Unmasked
When is the last time you heard "I forgive you"? I forgive you. Three simple words. Life changing? More like life-saving. My guest today is Neil Getzlow, Author of "Unmasked" Neil talks about the power of forgiveness and unconditional love is life-changing. For Neil, it goes back to that life-changing moment at the start of his journey in April 2020 when God helped him unmask all of his sins to Amy Neil's wife. He shares how nobody ever signs up to tell a story like this. Quite the opposite actually. He thinks a lot of people are addicted to porn, sex, drugs, booze, or whatever their vice of choice is, do exactly what he did: Spend years and years of energy trying to stuff their sins deep inside so they would never get out. Neil's mask was on so tight that he didn’t take it off for anyone. There was nobody in the world he was living in that knew what was behind his mask. Nobody. He was alone and trapped in his own sin. Fortunately, God had other plans for him. Those plans included repenting his sins and confessing every aspect of his illicit life to God and to his wife. Yet despite the pain he caused, and repeatedly turning away from God. God was still there waiting for him with open arms. He never thought that would be possible until Amy showed him what Godly forgiveness really looks like. That Is A Stupid Thing To Do
**** DISCLAIMER  PLEASE DO NOT TAKE UNLESS YOU SEEK PROFESSIONAL HELP FIRST. ****A few months back a very good friend, who I believe is one of the smartest people I have interacted with Sean McCoy. Shared with me that he had taken Magic Mushrooms. My first reaction was "That has to be the dumbest thing you have ever done." "Why?"  After all Magic Mushrooms also known as psilocybin mushrooms, contain a naturally occurring psychoactive compound called psilocybin. When ingested, psilocybin is converted into psilocin in the body, which interacts with serotonin receptors in the brain, resulting in various psychological effects. Here are some general effects and experiences associated with taking magic mushrooms. Altered Perception, Visual and Sensory Distortions, Emotional Effects, Altered Thinking and Perception of Time, Spiritual and Mystical Experiences, Introspection and Personal Insights, and Physiological Effects. It's worth noting that the effects of magic mushrooms can vary widely depending on factors such as dosage, individual sensitivity, mindset, environment, and the presence of any underlying mental health conditions. If considering using magic mushrooms, it is important to approach them with caution, in a safe and supportive environment, and ideally under the guidance of an experienced and knowledgeable individual. Additionally, it's crucial to be aware of the legal status of magic mushrooms in your country or region, as they may be illegal in many places. Decoding The Mask

Decoding The Mask
How amazing would life be if you had a secret decoder ring? Secret decoder rings have been popularized in various forms of media, such as books, comics, or movies, often used by fictional spies or secret agents. They add an element of mystery and intrigue, allowing individuals to engage in code-breaking activities and solve puzzles. Sadly it is just make-believe. However, my guest today Dr. Sarah Hensley is here to help us with decoding the mask we may be wearing. In order to do that one must attempt to look beyond the surface-level presentation and delve into the deeper emotions or thoughts that someone might be concealing. It can involve empathy, intuition, and careful observation to uncover the genuine meaning behind someone's behavior, allowing for a better understanding of their true intentions or emotional state. Join me as I try on Dr. Sarah's flip-flops.👟To learn more about Dr. Sarah click on the link below. https://www.thedatingdecoder.com/https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPOKnjGbMH1eW4nZlr8Q8IQ👟Remember when you walk in Other People's Shoes you get a different perspective!👟Other People's Shoes would love your financial gift to help support the show click here👟Have questions or want to give feedback call or text: 203-548-SHOE👟If you enjoy the show consider subscribing to your podcast platforms, so you don't miss an episode. Agree To Disagree
May 17 2023
Agree To Disagree
To "agree to disagree" is a phrase used when two or more individuals hold different opinions or viewpoints on a particular topic, and they decide to end the discussion or argument without trying to convince each other to change their stance. It acknowledges the existence of a fundamental disagreement while emphasizing mutual respect and the willingness to move past the disagreement without harboring ill feelings or prolonging an unproductive debate. My guest today is Brain Nietzel. Brian today shares about  one of today’s most divisive, hot-button topics—Christianity and the LGBTQ+ community—extreme voices seem to lead the conversation. Yet as you look to the quieter middle, where most of us live, you will find a more constructive and hopeful narrative playing out in the church. Since “coming out” 15 years ago as a gay man committed to his faith in Jesus, Brian has consulted with evangelical churches big and small to help advance the more productive conversation. He knows the tension of reconciling long-held beliefs with compassion for LGBTQ+ loved ones. From his vantage, many leaders are braving that journey, and rethinking their responsibility to LGBTQ+ individuals in and outside their congregation. Join me as I try on Brian's Italian shoes. 👟To learn more about Brian please  click the link below. https://briannietzel.com/👟Remember when you walk in Other People's Shoes you get a different perspective!👟Other People's Shoes would love your financial gift to help support the show click here👟Have questions or want to give feedback call or text: 203-548-SHOE👟If you enjoy the show consider subscribing to your podcast platforms, so you don't miss an episode.
