The Ten Commandments Part 5: On the Sabbath

The Podechesis Podcast

Nov 15 2021 • 1 hr 13 mins

What is the Sabbath?  Why is a day of “rest” so important that it is included in the Ten Commandments?  Is it really a big deal if we work on Sundays (or whenever the sabbath is)?  Does sabbath even matter today?

In this episode of The Podechesis Podcast, the guys are joined by Maggie Ulmer of Spirit & Truth, Firebrand Magazine, and Plain Truth: A Holy Spirited Podcast to talk about the questions in John Wesley’s Revision of the Westminster Shorter Catechism that deal with the 4th commandment (On Sabbath).  They will discuss why sabbath is important, our sometimes troubled relationship with time and work, and how Jesus is the Lord of the sabbath.

Along the way, Jim and Brett try to pick on Allen...and are successful.

Q: Which is the fourth commandment?
