"Now hear this. Now hear this. On this week's episode of Kirking Off the lads sit down to discuss all things artificial intelligence. The discussion starts off with a dive into the Wiki definition of artificial intelligence, which was likely curated by another artificial intelligence, which begs the question: how much information do the machines allows us to see, and who is programming the machines, and is the information true? We encounter lots of artificial intelligence everyday and some are more invasive than others, but what happens when the machine executes a probability challenge that leads to a mass extinction event for our own benefit in some distant future? Perhaps less dramatic, yet more pervasive, is the control of what we see and read, and what people assume they know about anything they've been fed by a machine. The conversation moves into free will, sentience, and how it lines up with artificial intelligence. It's a wild ride through many existential questions that will likely have you up at night fearful of when Skynet goes live... or, you'll determine there is no free will (so did you really determine it?), and who really cares. We present to you "Our New AI Overlords" from Kirking Off: A Warped Star Trek Shakdeown."
