Welcome back to #MettaTalks Season 2!
In episode 2, our Co-Founder Gabi and Innovation and Sustainability Lead Heather, sit down with Jonathan Withey, to chat all things climate education and reducing carbon costs.
Jonathan is Head of Business Development at Planet Mark - a sustainability certification for every type of organisation and real estate. The certification recognises continuous improvement, encourages action and builds an empowered community of like-minded individuals who make a world of difference. Here at Metta, we are proud to have attained our Planet Mark certification.
Jonathan has spent the past eight years working closely with businesses to unlock their potential for transformational and sustainable change. He has also been awarded a Fellowship to the Royal Society for the Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce - which recognises outstanding achievements to social progress and development.
Join Jonathan, Gabi and Heather as they discuss Environmental accreditations, becoming a BCorp and climate education - as well as how you yourself can become Planet Mark certified, with tips on how to get the certification.
We also chat about how Planet Mark measures carbon footprint. They want to avoid greenwashing and present carbon in a way that everyone understands as well as making it accessible - allowing you to engage your staff in a way that makes them feel passionate and excited, with a greater sense of purpose.
Planet Mark work in collaboration with other organisations such as Ecologie, who provide simple and impactful ways to collectively reverse climate change. Metta are protecting an area of endangered rainforest with Cool Earth - a charity that works with rainforest communities, halting deforestation and its impact on climate change.
