So...Systemic Racism Is Bad. Just What Are You Gonna Do About It?
Poethnic Justice Family, I hope this day bids you well, and welcome to another addition of #PoethnicJustice. There are no shortage of mouthpieces available to talk about how bad racism is and how we need to get rid of it. The question seldom asked is, just how are we to effectively accomplish that?   Is it by spreading more love and understanding?    Is it by having more diversity and inclusion?    Is voting for the Democrats the answer?    Is better education the solution?    Why has racism persisted so long in our society, and how did it come to  exist in the first place?    In this edition of #PoethnicJustice, I discuss how my 1st underground book and 3rd written book, "Code of Conduct Suggestion Guide for Surviving, Comprehending, & Fully Dismantling Systematic Racism/White Supremacy", answers all these questions in full. I do so using verifiable and factual information, not on feelings and theories. How Anti-Black Racism Is Global: Khalid Muhammad Breaks It Down
Shouts out to ReelBlack for supplying the orginal clip on YouTube. Word. Our master teacher, Khalid Abdul Muhammad breaks down how anti-black racism is not just an American thing, but that's it's also, equally, a phenomenon that expands beyond US borders to all the 4 corners of the Earth. Many people will ask, "Why are black people so hated everywhere?" My answer to that is, Neely Fuller and Dr. Frances Cress Welsing already explained that. If you want to know the true answer as to why racism exists, you'll actually care enough to put in the work, on your own, to understand how it works. --- Send in a voice message:

The Importance of Black People Knowing How To Carry out Plans: 3 Simple Tips To Make You a Better Planner
Family,   As black people, living under a system designed to bring constant chaos to our lives, it's important we, as a collective, know how to counteract that system with effective planning and strategizing skills.  As the old saying goes, "Winner plan to win; losers fail to plan." Systematic racism's goal is for us to fail in every area of society.  We live under a system that constantly seeks to distract us and to keep our energy spent on activities that either don't better us as a people or that are to our detriment. I wanted to give 3 simple and practical tips I utilize in my own life that have brought me success, and I believe these are useful practices we can all take advantage of to produce counteractive elements to the system of anti-black racism. The Lack of Black Writing Support Groups: Supporting Each Other Like White Writers & Readers Do
To My Fellow Black Wordsmiths, I took this audio from one of my writing meetings I host here in Tarrant Country, TX called Wordsmiths & Readers of Tarrant (WRT), a group I started so local writers and artists in the area could have a place to actually discuss and explore the craft of the language arts. The splendid young lady I'm speaking to goes by the pen name Nai Williams ( meeting dialogue gravitated towards the issue, being that we're both black writers, of how black novelists and poets don't have the same types of support networks and peer groups white writers have, which makes it extremely difficult for us to stay motivated as artists. In this edition of Poethnic Justice, where I like to cover how literary art is an effective tool in fighting white supremacy, we discuss some solutions to this dilemma that all black writers face. Please feel free to join the discussion. Family, Can we, as black people, even articulate why we celebrate holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Are we doing so because it benefits us in any way as a group?  If so, how does it benefit us by celebrating holidays we didn't even create and that are even meant for us?   Let's discuss. Eliminating Jealousy Culture from Black Society
Comrades, In this edition of Poethnic Justice, I wanted to break down jealousy culture in black society. Being that black people have been historically and modernly starved for resources, we often see another black who is prosperous and excelling as them somehow "taking away opportunities from us."   Where did this mindset of how we feel about each other originate?   This mindset is cancer to our progress as black people, and I wanted to provide what I feel is a solution to our culture of despising the success of those who look like us.  Please join in the conversation. How Black People Mastered the Art of Distracting Themselves
Family, When it comes to the issue of dealing with racism/white supremacy, unfortunately, out of cowardice, too many black people have mastered the art of distracting themselves in order to not avoid dealing with the biggest threat to their existence head-on.  This edition of #PoethnicJustice breaks down how, while black people might be busy distracting themselves from the issue at hand and not looking for a fight, white supremacy is definitely looking for a fight with us.   And, it's a fight that will inevitably end up at your doorstep. The Myth That Correct Punctuation Hinders Poetic Creativity
To My Black Writers, Over the years, I've heard many writers express how they feel confined and limited in their creativity by using proper punctuation, and, in my early writing days, I felt the same way. However, as I matured in my craft, I found there are ways you can utilize punctuation to both enhance the message being conveyed in your work and to expand your creative boundaries. If you're a writer out there, I would love to know what you about the discussion.   One Love & One Justice, The Stormy Poet p: (817) 382-1108‬ e: tsp@thestormypoet.com If you've found what you've heard to be enriching, informative, practical, and empowering, please consider making a monetary contribution to this platform (any dollar amount). Our committed and consistent time and efforts are vital if we want to make any kind of progress, and the powers that be are aware of this. Origins of Racism: Why White & Black Were Invented
Greetings Family, The majority of us already know that the system of racism/white supremacy expresses itself in every area of our society.  However, when the subject of racism is discussed, the focal point tends to be the symptoms of it rather than its root cause.   Typically, the expression of racism in our society gets chalked up to people just being ignorant or people who have some inexplicable hatred or bigotry for non-white people. Very seldom are the questions asked, how did this concept known as racism (white and black) even get started?  And better yet, why was it created?    In this edition of #PoethnicJustice, I delve into the origins of systematic racism, why the concept of black and white was created, and how it has been able to persist for so long, even though it was created hundreds of years ago. Generational Trauma: All Black People Need Therapy
Greetings Family, Living under a system of racism has brought about an immense amount of situational and generational trauma to the group classified as African Americans.  Rather than seeking counseling or therapy for the mental issues that arise from having to deal with that trauma, we oftentimes negate the effect this chronic trauma has had on our psyche.   And, we discourage others in our group from getting help by saying things like "Well, all you need to do is let go and let Him do the work," "I'll pray for you," or "You're a strong black man/black woman, you got this."  In this edition of #PoethnicJustice I decided to share my own experience with a mental dissociative disorder in the hopes I can inspire other black people to educate themselves on how our mental health is a determining factor in the quality of our lives and in the hopes encouraging black people to not feel guilty for seeking help for issues they cannot help themselves with. I would love to hear everyone's feedback on the matter. Loving Away Systematic Racism Doesn't Work

Loving Away Systematic Racism Doesn't Work
Family, I made this presentation in response to a comment that was left in regards to an article I posted entitled, "Black People, It's Time To Get Armed." ( which expressed the need for black people to take advantage of their right to bear arms a means of protection in a society that is hostile and violent towards us. As has been the case historically and in the modern-day, black people have been encouraged by the dominant society and other non-black groups to seek peace and understanding with those who mistreat them, to turn the other cheek when they've been systemically abused over the span of centuries, and to not take a proactive stance in anticipating and expecting that violence will be done to them or their loved ones while living under a state of systematic racism.   Often, I hear individuals express, if we could just all come together and hold hands and somehow get those who desire to mistreat black people that we are just as human as white people, that there is some way to "love away" the system of white supremacy. My question to that sentiment: What is love?  Should we love the top percentile of white families who hoard the majority of this country's wealth--wealth that was built up through free African chattel slavery and Jim Crow which didn't allow African Americans effectively compete economically?  What's love got to do with it? To me, as I state in the podcast, "love" equals "justice." Are people ready to advocate and put in the kind of work it takes to bring about that justice? Why Reading Daily Will Save Your Life

Why Reading Daily Will Save Your Life
Family, The whole reason I set up The Stormy Poet Compositions platform was to promote messages such as the one presented in this program. Reading, on a daily basis, has scientifically been proven to have tremendous benefits to your life. It's often thought of as boring or tedious, not as being an investment of time to enrich yourself on so many levels.  The companies that govern all you see and hear have conditioned you to be that way.  The more mindless we are and the more we're unable to sit down in a quiet room and focus on one thing, the more impulsive we become as consumers. There is a reason they call television "programming."    It's time to, as a society, change the way we think about literature in general.  As the old saying goes, "The pen is mightier than the sword," and it's time for us--especially black people in particular--use that weapon, both in what we take and what we communicate, to empower ourselves.
