Stevie Vargas joins Raising Rochester for our first episode of 2022. Stevie is Upstate Campaign Coordinator for the Alliance for Quality Education, and works to organize communities across New York State to ensure that all students receive a high quality education regardless of ZIP code. AQE has also emerged as a leader to implement universal child care in New York State.

The conversation focuses on the state of child care in New York, Stevie’s personal challenges accessing and maintaining child care, and the 2022-23 state budget.
