The Everyday Sniper Podcast: PreGame Thanksgiving Day Special
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: PreGame Thanksgiving Day Special  Happy Thanksgiving Charlie Brown !  It's the day before the holidays and we have some thoughts over here at the Everyday Sniper Podcast. First off, don't forget to check out Hide TV this podcast is simulcast over there live, now with video.  I begin the show talking about Black Friday Specials, we sent out a Giant Email with some Black Friday deals. Lots of great stuff to buy for the upcoming new year.  Then I go into the SG Timer 2 from Shooter's Global.   The Shooters Global Timer is complete system which integrates with your phone to manage your shooting and training. We'll have a video and review on Sniper's Hide, but needless to say we are big fan of timers, and the SG Timer 2 worked really well for us.  Next, I am big fan of where Area419 has come from, these guys have grown into a powerhouse company. I have their precision scope mount here and the entire package is awesome.  We'll have more details on the Area419 stuff. I really think they hit the next level of precision rifle gear.  My big reveal,  I am going to sponsor a shooting team. I go Into some details, and where my head is with this, but I think I am gonna help some new shooters.  I am thinking I can even host a virtual team. Help them training and mentor them online. Using the Hide TV resources I believe I can create a virtual shooting team situation where they can learn and grow.  Happy Holidays everyone,  Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Marine Corps Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation  105 Years of Scout Sniper History is being uncovered by the Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation !  Today I have Tim Parkhurst on the phone, President of the Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation, and I have to say, this interview was super fun and beyond interesting.  The Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation is creating a Memorial to the fallen Scout Snipers from World War I to Present Day.   Unfortunately, this Awesome Sculpture will cost $3 Million Dollars so we need to raise a lot of money.  If you head over the Foundation Website which is linked all over this post, you can see the Sculpture Concept, as well as the thinks to help raise money.  Scout Sniper History !  The Heritage Foundation is also very heavily researching our Scout Sniper History.  Very little is known about USMC Scout Sniper prior to Vietnam.  However we have a robust and organized history going back to World War I, who knew.  Please Help Us Raise $3 Million Dollars for this Sculpture and Memorial, there is an M40 Raffle taking place right now. This one of kind rifle is assembled from parts found that are Vietnam Vintage.  https://scoutsniperheritage.org/scout-sniper-war-memorial-fundraiser/ We have multiple ways to support this project, so find the one that suits you can lets get this built !  Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Training Season is Over

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Training Season is Over
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Training Season is Over  As one door closes another door opens.  With Training Season over, we enter podcast & livestream season.  I want to start off by thanking everyone who attended training with us in 2024. This was a super successful season, we saw the return of Marc Taylor and entry of Chris Way with our classes.  We also had a lot of support and help from Laura during some tough times both recently and in the past. So again thank you to everyone who made it work in 2024.   Ended the season in a couple of locations, we did 2 classes in Ohio then I did a class and a clinic in Virginia finally ending our season in Fort Morgan with an Army Section. Each class had its own unique challenges that in the end, opened my mind to new possibilities.  We tested a lot of variations for classes as well as several tools like using a Starlink system to access the internet on the range.  All these tools will enhance the Hide TV experience which is my end goal.  On top of providing the very best training possible.  With Podcast season starting up, expect at least 2 episodes a week and at least one of them to be simulcast live on Hide TV.  These will have lesson, guest speakers and more. Hide TV is moving forward, we are super happy with the progress and the reception.  To all from US,   Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thank for interacting and being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.  Lowlight

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Hunter Diagnostic
Hey Everyday Fan,  Chris and Frank today on the show talking about the Hunter Diagnostic we developed for guys to use prior to hunting season.  Extend your limits or just know your limits when it comes to taking game.  The Hunter Diagnostic can be found on Sniper's Hide in the Articles and breaks down the method to test.   Here is a bit of the Test:  Step 1: Paper at 100 Yards Shooting Positions and Sequence Perform the diagnostic from the three most likely positions you anticipate using during the hunt with the same equipment and ammunition. Follow a build-and-break sequence for each shot to simulate hunting conditions. Sequence: Build and Break Shots: Shoot from the three most likely positions you anticipate using during the hunt—three shots each, totaling 12 shots. Measuring Group Size at 100 Yards 1. Shoot a Group of 12 Shots: Perform the sequence of 12 build-and-break shots described above at 100 yards, ensuring shots are equally distributed across the three most likely positions you anticipate using during the hunt. 2. Measure the Widest Shot: Measure the distance in mils from the center to the farthest shot in each position’s group. This measurement is your group size. 3. Record the Group Size: Note this value as your group size in the shot bracket calculation worksheet. Give us some feedback, new season, Fall of 2024 has just started  Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the everyday sniper podcast
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Defiance Action 18 Month Follow Up
Jun 25 2024
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Defiance Action 18 Month Follow Up
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Defiance Action 18 Month Follow Up  It's been close to 18 months since Bob Beck and Eric Stecker bought Defiance Actions and it looked like the Internet was going to explode. The Internet drama machined ramped up into overdrive and since that time it's been pretty quiet.  During my last podcast with Team POI we touched on Defiance and what happened in terms of logistics and material support. Cole quickly changed the subject which lead to a phone call from Competition Shooter Nick Gardazi. Nick asked if I would open to having Bob Beck from Extreme Outer Limits on the show, which of course.  After a short back and forth, we landed, Nick, Bob and Eric on the Everyday Sniper podcast to talk about the transition during the initial moments they bought Defiance through today.  Areas of discussion with this episode include:  Initial Purchase of McMillan Stocks The Decision to Purchase Defiance The Reality of buying Defiance The Initial Fallout of buying Defiance Where Defiance is today Where Defiance will go on July 1 2024   There is a little bit of business talk when it comes too the financial reality of buying Defiance Actions, however this adds important context to the steps that were taken immediately afterward that angered the shooting community  This was an honest and open discussion, I did not feel anyone was overly defensive which to me was a good sign.  And the anticipation of what they are doing moving forward as well as a look where they need to be as a team player. The key was Builder Network, how does a company supply and manage the builder network as that is where the problems arise. Delays in stocks, delays in actions, delays in barrels all add up. The model is support the builder network with best practices moving forward and it looks like they have a plan. Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, and thanks for being a part of the everyday sniper podcast.  https://defiancemachine.com/
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: NF ELR Match, 1st Time Shooter
Jun 16 2024
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: NF ELR Match, 1st Time Shooter
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: NF ELR Match, 1st Time Shooter  Welcome to the Everyday Sniper podcast, we have an awesome episode for everyone. So the NF ELR Match in WY is one of the most popular ELR Matches in the country.  Every Year Accuracy International visits my range to dope their rifles and this year they went 1, 2. 3...  So wanting to participate in ELR Competition Chris Way of RifleKraft Fame decided to throw his hat into the ring.  Chris is an accomplished competitor with enough Hardware to my Ace blush, so it was interesting to watch his work up for this event given he had life smack in the forehead before he even got started.  So let's listen to Chris' ELR Journey as a first time competitor at the NF ELR Match.  Life comes at you fast so be flexible is what I can say about the first part. You have to decide, do I stay or do I go, isn't that the million dollar question?   Then, when thrown a curve, as in my data doesn't match my ranges what do you do?  Do you fold and go home or do you adjust and persevere ?  In the end it's the experience right, taking a big swing with the bat in an effort to gain as much as possible or just be another man on the line.  Chris gives you all the details as he recorded every piece of data imaginable as he followed the ELR Path down that endless rabbit hole we call shooting.  Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Cole Quarnberg and TeamPOI

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Cole Quarnberg and TeamPOI
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Cole Quarnberg and TeamPOI  Welcome to the everyday sniper podcast, on today's episode I have Cole Quarnberg from TeamPOI, actually Cole wears a lot of hats and we talk about a bunch of them.  This is bit, a state of the industry when it comes to marketing, the internet and our gun industry. It's a bit strange how the gun industry will at the same time protect itself at all costs while eating its own.  You hate to see it, but it's reality of the world we live in.   We spent some time talking about his acquisition of Straight Jacket Armory and the changes he is making there.  Before Cole took over operations at SJA, there was a few customer service issues.  From there our discussion turned to how you make changes and handle a business in 2024 when a customer can go right to the internet to complain before they ever call for a solution.  It's a weird dynamic and very real one I deal with over at Sniper's Hide.  On the one hand we love our manufacturers, on the other hand we have to resist the want to burn them down when things don't go our way.  Cole is a solid individual who is looking to do right by his customers and this industry.  Thanks for Cole for coming on the Podcast, addressing issues from the forum and laying out a path forward for not just his customers, but anyone who wants to do better. Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Quick & To the Point

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Quick & To the Point
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Quick & To the Point  Hey Everyone in Podcast Land, welcome to the Everyday Sniper Podcast. In this episode get right to the climate change problem by explaining the heating of the Earth is coming from inside the House.  After I finish my conspiracy theory discussion on Climate Change I jump right into shooting talk over the Leupold Mk4HD.  I have a Leupold Mk4HD 6-24x52mm Scope mounted on my GAP Production Rifle with Manners Tunable Stock. Have I mentioned how much I love the Manners Tunable Stock and think it's the best stock on the market. Anyhow, I mounted the Leupold Mk4HD on the Manners Tunable GAP Production Rifle so now I have to go out and shoot it.  From the Manners Tunable to Kraft Quick Wind. In order to dope the wind, you need to know what the Effective Wind Speed is.  Now Effective Wind is different from a straight up wind call. The effective wind is telling you what the wind along with the angle is actually doing. Once you have the Effective Wind, using Quick Wind becomes super easy.  The Class schedule is located on Sniper's Hide in the Training Course Announcement Section iso be sure to stop on by to see what our class schedule looks like.  We have Fort Morgan, Cameo, Black Bear Virginia is opened up.  We'll be crisscrossing the United States again this year.  As always, thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Ted Hoeger's European Shooting Vacation

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Ted Hoeger's European Shooting Vacation
The Everyday Sniper Podcast: Ted Hoeger's European Shooting Vacation  Zoom Call today, Ted Hoeger from Iowa, past student, friend of the podcast. Ted he traveled to Norway and Italy to shoot some European PRS events.  Getting Ted's insights into the travel, logistics, atmosphere, weapons used was super valuable information and too good to pass up,  Ted is compiling information so US Shooters can find everything necessary to travel to Europe safely and successfully to shoot their PRS style events.  Hearing all this from a source is super important, him wanting to make it every 2 years is even cooler.   The Norway event was 3 days and traveled to 3 different venues which is super unique.  That sounds too cool for words. No home range advantage when you have 3 different looks for terrain.  Big props to the Norway Match Director, he sounds like a big thinker if you ask me.  Ted's next stop was to Italy, I have spoke to Davide over there and I am very familiar with his work. They are big time building a solid shooting community, and really that is what it is all about, community vs the individual.  I find Davide's leadership inspiring and his commitment to education is to be commended on every level.  Finally I go on my typical rant, I have high respect for Ted, and don't want to put him on the spot, but I feel he is well placed to make a few minor changes.  I don't do it to be ugly, I do it to improve the overall experience here in the US. The fact that I don't want to shoot anything in the South East bothers me, I should want to shoot everything and I don't.  That's said.  But thank you Ted, I really appreciate you taking your time, spending it with me on the computer.  Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a big part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast.
