But it’s not here is it, not yet anyway.I have written the episode, and I have recorded the episode. But when I came to edit it this morning, the audio was, well quite frankly awful. So awful that I am going to have to rerecord it, but I need to fix the problem first. So, as you listen to this, I am in the middle of a big clean-up of my computer before I record the episode again. Then I need to edit the shiny new version. If I have fixed the problem that is.While you are waiting, if you have a 27 minute gap in your life, why not head over to the Photography Explained Podcast website and find something else to listen to! Or send me a question to answer in a future episode. And why not head over to rickmcevoyphotography.com where you can read all about me and photographing buildings. So much good stuff, what is not to love.At some point soon this episode will magically appear in your podcast feed, so until then I will say thank you for bearing with me, take care and stay safe.Cheers from me RickSupport the showGet your question answeredThis is what my podcast is all about, answering your photography questions - just click here. How To Take The Best Photos That You Can Every Time
Hi and welcome to Episode 151 of the Photography Explained podcast. I’m your host Rick, and in each episode, I will try to explain one photographic thing to you in plain English, in less than 27 minutes (ish), without the irrelevant details. What I tell you is based on my lifetime of photographic experience. And not Google. Not in this episode.First - here is the answery bitTo take the best photos that you can, stop, slow down, look around and think about what you are photographing. Think about what you are including in a photo, think about what you are not including in a photo, think about how the elements of a photo relate, and think about the light. Then get your composition. Then get all that technical stuff sorted. And then take the photo. They say the best advice is free, and this is just that. Free advice that will help you to take the best photos that you can every time. Everything I talk about in this episode costs nothing other than time. And thought.Yes, a lot of what I am talking about here is all about plain old thinking. What's next?Glad you asked! In this episode, Do I Really Need A Camera In 2022? Or Will My Phone Do Instead? And also some more thoughts on the last episode, What Does The Future Of Photography Look Like? Hi and welcome to Episode 141 of the Photography Explained podcast. I’m your host Rick, and in each episode I try to explain one photographic to you in plain English in less than 27ish minutes, but still without the irrelevant details. What I tell you is based on my lifetime of photographic experience. And not Google. No Google required for this one.First - here is the answery bitIf you want to fully explore the wonderful world of photography you do need a camera, even in 2022. Sure you can get great photos with a phone, but buying a camera allows you to grow your photography without limits, and fully embrace and enjoy the wonderful world of photography. Buy a camera and you open up a world of techniques, creative photo taking possibilities and of course the gear to help you. You don’t get all of this with just a phone, in my humble opinion.Having said that, if you are happy taking photos with your phone then that’s fine, I just want you to know what you might be missing out on.Listen on for much more. What’s next?Episode 142 - I Only Take Photos With My Phone - What Photography Stuff Am I Missing Out On?Support the showGet your question answeredThis is what my podcast is all about, answering your photography questions - just click here. What Does The Future Of Photography Look Like?
Hi and welcome to Episode 140 of the Photography Explained podcast. I’m your host Rick, and in each episode I try explain one photographic in plain English in less than 10 minutes (ish – OK more like less than 27ish minutes), but still without the irrelevant details. What I tell you is based on my lifetime of photographic experience. And not Google. OK – well there was a little bit of research in this one. Just a little bit. In this episode, What Does The Future Of Photography Look Like? I touched on this in a previous episode or two, and have lots more to say on this. And a few thoughts from the last episode, Changes To My Podcast. And How Do We Get Started In Photography Today? First - here is the answery bitThe future of photography is very bright. The demand for images is higher now that it has ever been, as has the number of photos being taken and shared. Photography has been opened up to a global, consumer market with advances in technology in phones, and also in cameras. How photos are taken though has changed, as has how people get into photography these days. The challenge is to develop an interest in photography that goes beyond basic phone photography. The future of photography also has to cater for the constant need for immediacy - higher quality quicker. Or even higher quality immediately.Listen on for much more. What’s next?Episode 141 - Do I Really Need A Camera In 2022?
