Ben Rhodes and Zhanna Nemtsova host the Another Russia podcast from Crooked Media. They each carry impressive résumés. Apart from being a podcast host, Ben is a writer and political commentator. He is also a national security analyst who also contributes to NBC News and MSNBC.

As for Another Russia podcast cohost Zhanna Nemtsova, she is an accomplished journalist. But apart from that, she is also the daughter of the man who was the face and voice of Vladimir Putin's opposition.

Zhanna's father was Boris Nemtsov, the physicist-turned-governor. He "represented the future that Russia lost," the podcast says. To Nemtsova, he was always full of vitality, life, and ideas. Her life changed the day she found out about his assassination outside the Kremlin in Moscow in 2015.

There was no doubt in her mind. Putin was behind it. Beyond speculation, Zhanna worked on closely following the political landscape of Russia. Putin's autocracy had been firmly established. But his sights have continued to stretch further. The war Putin forged in Ukraine did not happen overnight. It started with Russia's annexation of Crimea. That prompted an organized and determined operation to chip away at Ukraine. This kind of politics was exactly what her father was fighting against. Another Russia explains the history behind this.

Zhanna's accounts provide listeners with a more intimate understanding of her father. She gives a personal insight into his motivations and how he got into politics.
