She has over 26 years experience with for profit, not for profit, stand alone and CCRC homes. In 2018, she completed a Master of Jurisprudence from Drake Law School and received her MBA in 2000. Is certified as Professional in Aging Services Risk Management.  She has facilitated two major construction projects from fund raising through construction and operation.  The first project was completed in 2014 and replaced 32 SNF beds. The second project was a 40 unit assisted living building completed in 2019.  She received the Bronze and Silver Quality Awards and has applied for the Gold Quality Award. Maureen implements best practices and shares results of efforts with peers. She has been available to colleagues as a resource for regulation compliance and quality implementation.   She is the current president of Iowa Health Care Quality Partners, which is Iowa Health Care Association’s network.   The podcast is produced by Association Briefings.

Combatting Workforce Issues in the Long Term Care Community

Click on quality.   Guest bio Christopher Schmidt, MBA, LNHA, CNA, is president and CEO of Schmidt  Wallace Healthcare, which provides healthcare services to more than 780  residents with 1100 employees in five skilled nursing and rehabilitation  facilities in Alabama. Chris has has been involved in the skilled nursing  and rehabilitation profession for more than 35 years.  He is owner of Nursing Assistant Academy with four locations and Primary  Care Select, a physician and nurse practitioner company. In addition, he  owns IntegraCare Pharmacy and IntegraCare Medical who provide  pharmacy services and medical supplies to skilled nursing facilities and  assisted living centers across the state.  Chris serves on the board of the Alabama Nursing Home Association and  the Alabama Performance Excellence Program.  All of the facilities Chris has been involved with have received quality  awards from the American Healthcare Association Quality Award Program  and the Alabama Quality Award Program. Chris was a master quality  award examiner for the American Healthcare Association for 10 years and  a quality award examiner for the Alabama Quality Award for 4 years.  He received his bachelors degree in Marketing from Auburn University in  1988 and received his master’s degree in business administration from  Auburn University Montgomery in 1990.   Chris enjoys outdoor activities such as snow skiing, sailing and soccer.   This episode is produced by Association Briefings.
