This month we begin our long-awaited 'Emerging Author Series' where we sit down with a rising talent in the SFF world.  We're starting strong with Adrian M. Gibson.  Adrian will introduce us to Fungal Punk, and we will chat about his new book Mushroom Blues, which will be available March 19th 2024. Adrian is a Canadian speculative fiction author, podcaster and illustrator. In 2021, he created the SFF Addicts podcast, which he co-hosts with fellow author M. J. Kuhn. If you're working on your next novel or screenplay, this is the episode for you. This week on TFTB we sit down with  award-winning novelist, playwright, and screenwriter, Joel Fishbane.  In addition to being a celebrated author, Joel is also a story analyst who assists writers and studios in developing screenplays. Joel gives us some advice on developing a good story, on navigating the industry as a full-time writer, and some pitfalls to avoid. Joel is best known for his novel The Thunder of Giants, and more than fifty works of short fiction and non-fiction published, all in a variety of genres. His Sci-fi and speculative fiction work has appeared in "On Spec", "Tall Tale TV", "Abandon", "Metastellar" with forthcoming work slated to appear in "Penumbric" and "The Magazine of Sci-Fi and Fantasy". He has been honored in numerous competitions, including the BBC International Radio Playwriting Contest,  and the Fratti-Newman Political Playwriting Contest. His feature film "The Composers" is in active development with Animal Mother Films.
