You never know what they might want to do. Know your strengths and weaknesses- who does what when it comes to planning? I prefer big planes over small planes, due to my motion sickness Our kids like their own beds and we prefer 2 bathrooms when it comes to accommodations- especially the older they get Talk to other moms who have been to where you are going When you go on vacation, don’t eat a bunch of crap, it will catch up to you. Our children are very capable. Use them as a resource. Our son did so much research on rides and food and helped so much! We are a family who likes to do things, but we need to build in down-time. Know your family and have realistic expectations My kids and husband don’t like the heat, but I do. Make sure to build in water and A/C breaks. Strong sunscreen is effective!
