In order to demonstrate your value at your current or future organization, it is important to be able to discuss how your performance impacts the return on investment (ROI) for your salary.
In this episode, Scott Greene from Llama Lounge discusses with Jerry how to talk about your work in terms of return on investment. When we are able to show our organizations that the salary paid to us was multiplied back to them, we are showing a return on investment.
That can come in the form of increased revenue or decreased overhead (costs) through improved processes, reduced staff turnover, fewer accidents, and so on. Talking about your accomplishments in terms of financial impact helps companies see your impact on the bottom line. It distinguishes you from the rest of the crowd.
