Re-Visiting Inspiring Success Through a Growth Mindset with Laurel Hamblin
In this episode, we reconnect with Laurel Hamblin, a realtor and mother who first joined us two years ago after reaching six figures. Laurel started her journey at 19, quickly advancing from assistant to agent. Now, she leads her own agency, aiming to sell 70 homes this year. Her motivation stems from her son, whom she had as a teenager, showcasing resilience and determination. For mothers balancing career and family, Laurel’s story offers valuable insights. From High School Mom to Six-Figure Success in Digital Marketing with Erica Nicole
In this episode, I interview Erica —a self-made entrepreneur, owner of a successful digital marketing agency, mother, and mentor to young women— about her remarkable journey in the business world and her dedication to empowering others. Faced with the challenge of unexpected motherhood, Erica vowed to defy the statistics of high school pregnancies, using her daughter as her driving force to excel and achieve her dreams. Erica's professional path began in cosmetology, but her desire for more control over her life led her to join the military, study finance and marketing, and eventually navigate the corporate world. Dissatisfied with how corporations overlooked family life, Erica ventured into freelance work, ultimately establishing her own digital marketing agency. A pivotal moment came when she partnered with an NFL player, which significantly boosted her business. Today, her agency boasts a team of 10 employees and over 100 clients. Erica shares her journey to six-figure success, her transition from the hustle culture, and her passion for mentoring young women to scale their businesses, achieving both time and financial freedom. You Aren't Failing If You haven't Thrown in the Towel with Elma Dzanic
In this episode, I interview Elma Dzanic —owner of Fina Beauty and Nail Educator, mother of two, and wife to an overly supportive husband ;) —about her journey as a business owner. Elma navigated the detour of the unplanned arrival of her firstborn, while starting a business and building a home with undeniable strength and an unwillingness to throw in the towel.  And through it all, learned that by putting her children first, she is building a business that allows her to have the best of both worlds (with a healthy acknowledgement of all the help and support it takes from her village).Listen to our interview, of being present in each season of entrepreneurship and motherhood—of grounding yourself in the moment rather than longing for the next, of asking advice from those who have gone before you, and of saying yes to opportunities when they present themselves rather than waiting for the “perfect time”. Elma’s vulnerability will inspire you to stay the course and to reflect on your own perceived failures as merely detours in your journey.Get to know more about Elma, her business, and her education and training programs by following her personal and professional accounts.Personal Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elmadzanic/Personal Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/elma.hadzic.583Professional Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/finabeautyco/Professional Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/finabeautynailscoProfessional Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/finabeautyhair/

In this episode I interview Kelli Day, Founder and Owner of Elevate TC Services, mother of 2, wife, Crossfitter, cancer warrior, and livin’ life enthusiast. Kelli’s purpose in life is evident in everything she does and how does it—filled with a desire to inspire others to live their lives to the fullest. Hard Work and a Heart for Giving
In this episode I interview my dear friend, philanthropist and incredibly successful accountant, Liz Correa. In addition to her work as an accountant, Liz’s heart for giving has made her an integral part of the local community—she helps countless individuals through her role as Treasurer for the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Treasurer for the Idaho Hispanic Foundation, and through her work on the Board of Directors for CapEd Credit Union. Greater than all of these notable accomplishments however is her love for her son and her family, and her quiet humility. Liz embodies the values she was raised with and her work ethic, in conjunction with her heritage, has been the driving force of her success.  As a self-proclaimed first-generation immigrant to the US, Liz has nothing but pride and appreciation for her roots. Listen to our interview, of dreams made reality through work ethic and persistence, of single motherhood and raising an amazing child, of supporting one another rather than competing—especially as women. If you’ve ever found yourself at a loss as to why something or ‘someone’ has happened to you, Liz’s story will shift your perspective to life and people happening for you—even if it is just to learn and grow. This episode will have you wanting to befriend Liz for her magnetic presence and her giving heart, taking notes on how to be a successful working mother without sacrificing your relationship with your children, and finding appreciation for all of the opportunities given and earned.

How to Scale Your Business Through Systemization
In this episode I interview a former guest, Jessica Smith –Enrolled Agent, ‘Taxpert’, founder of Tax Savvy Jessica and co-founder of Workflows for Tax-Pros– about her incredible success in scaling her business through systemization. Since we last spoke, Jessica not only launched her own thriving business as a tax strategist, she also leaned into her pain points as a solopreneur and working mother to establish a better work life balance and inadvertently created a community of professionals looking to do the same. In paying it forward to others through webinars and now courses on streamlining the necessary, albeit time consuming and often tedious tasks of business ownership, via systems and workflows, Jessica proves that our trials are often a catalyst to our growth, and that even in its most challenging moments, and unpredictable years, your business will continue to attract customers and clients so long as you continually seek to improve. Listen to our interview, of practical take-away’s for any working mother to reduce their tax burden, of scaling a business successfully, of the realities of business ownership and the need to lean into systems. If you’ve ever found yourself with too many tasks and too few hours at the end of the week, Jessica will inspire you—through her story and her experience—to outsource and systematize what you can in order to scale your business and buy back your most precious commodity—your time and your passion. This episode will have you have laughing at the fleeting moments of motherhood, taking notes on discussions to have with your tax professional, and pursuing mentorship over coaching.  Website | www.taxsavvyjessica.comLinkedIn | www.linkedin.com/in/taxsavvyjessica/Facebook | www.facebook.com/taxsavvyjessicaInstagram | www.instagram.com/taxsavvyjessica/

The Things in Life that Fuel Us with Mindi Anderson
Season 3 | Episode 9 featuring Mindi AndersonIn this episode I interview my new friend, service member and entrepreneur, Dr. Mindi Anderson, who also wears the hat of founder and Executive Director of the Idaho Veterans Chamber of Commerce. While the military has provided Mindi with countless opportunities, she will be transitioning into the civilian world after her retirement ceremony on June 3rd.  The military brought Mindi and her husband together, took them through several duty stations throughout the US and ultimately helped them to decide on Idaho as their home. After transitioning from active duty to the guard, Mindi began her own business as a way to prepare for retirement pursuing what she really wanted to do once she grew up—Mindi capitalized on her strengths in consulting and coaching to launch Maximize Solutions. Through her work with emotional intelligence, Mindi quickly found her next area of opportunity and founded the Idaho Chapter of the Veterans Chamber of Commerce—bridging the gap between a community she loved and an identity that is at the core of who she is. Through her focus on self-belonging, Mindi has made meaningful connections for herself as well as countless service members, their families, and anyone she meets, paying forward the same kindness that has been extended to her throughout her life.Listen to our interview, of the ever-present tug of wanting to be everywhere at once while also standing firm in knowing that your work is both fueling your soul and making a significant impact in your community, of ‘winning’ the popsicle party for your child knowing that it’s worth the seriously inflated cost to see them so happy, of forging your own path. If you’ve ever wondered what life was like for mothers in uniform, or what transitioning from an established career path into an unknown and uncertain next step looks like in reality, Mindi shares her honest insight on the good and the hard. This episode will leave you with valuable insight on how to better connect with an integral component of our community –service members and public servants as well as their families—and leave you wanting to learn more about your own Emotional Intelligence. Tune in for a closer look at a career that becomes intertwined in every aspect of one’s identity and learn how to hold space for service members and their experience.Website | www.idahoveterans.org/LinkedIn | www.linkedin.com/in/mindianderson1/Instagram | www.instagram.com/idahoveteranschamber/Facebook | www.facebook.com/idahoveteranschamberofcommerce
