IT’S BLOODY GIAL-LY!!!This month, I take a detour into a miniseries on the Giallo genre. You see, for some reason, this genre never really quite stuck with me and I want to change that. I am doing five episodes with people who love Giallo, talking about some of their favorite entries in the genre. On this, the debut of the miniseries, I am joined by Lauren La Melle, a Bronx-based filmmaker with her Masters degree in Horror. The co-host of the Scary Crit Podcast joins me to talk about the game-changer that is the Leprechaun franchise, her film school experience, and how professional wrestling is THE principal storytelling art form. We then dive into the 1964 Mario Bava masterpiece, Blood and Black Lace. You can find Lauren on social media on Instagram and Twitter @laurenlamelle. 114. Let's Taco 'Bout the 2022 Oscar Nominations featuring Jess Johannsen
The nominations for the 94th Annual Academy Awards were announced last week! As is the case every year, I had some opinions. For the second year in a row (which means it is now a tradition), I enlisted the help of fellow awards season fanatic, local actress and Marvel/Disney/movie buff, Jess Johannsen, to help me sort through the nominees. We offer our thoughts on what made us happy, what disappointed us, and Jess gets her moment to vent about Being the Ricardos! You can see what projects Jess is up to and all of happenings going on with The Good Night Theatre Collective by checking them out across social media!Follow Fat Dude Digs Flicks across social media:Facebook - Fat Dude Digs FlicksInstagram - FatDudeDigsFlicksTwitter - FatDudeFlicksSubscribe to this podcast on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher Radio, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
