Should we be running in minimalist shoes or barefoot running? Can shoes decrease the risk of running-related injury? Should we be using different shoe types for different distances?

Learn More About Dr. Jason Tuori, PT, DPT, CSCS:

Jason Tuori is a sports physical therapy resident at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2017 and practiced for three years in an outpatient/sports setting in Ithaca, NY. Clinically, Jason’s interests are in the management of knee, ankle, and running-related injuries. He is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and USA Weightlifting certified coach and previously worked as a strength coach in the high school setting. Jason is a USA Track & Field certified running coach and works with runners of all abilities through the spectrum of rehab to performance training. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, and weightlifting.
