Freddie Kraft, Brett Griffin, T.J. Majors & Casey Boat are back in studio to discuss all the action from Talladega, and they are joined by the winner of this weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race, Jesse Love. Jesse shares his excitement for being locked into the Xfinity playoffs and tells the DBC crew how much fun the Xfinity cars are to drive. They talk about how the majority of the Talladega Cup race is run at half throttle to save fuel and whether anything can be easily changed to fix that.
The DBC crew also discusses the Toyota pit strategy that both worked and didn’t, Michael McDowell’s last-lap block, and the planning that went into RFK’s race strategy, which somehow ended up with T.J. and Freddie in a heated argument because, of course. Also, why are the scoring pylons going away? This weekend’s race brought some hilarious Reaction Theatre calls, and the DBC hosts fielded fan questions.
