King’s Creations asks: Sir, I am 28 years old. My doctor has advised me to opt for Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT). My testosterone total reading is 400 ng/dL. I am currently using Minoxidil and 1 mg of Finasteride. I want to know if I can opt for TRT and continue Minoxidil & Finasteride course at the same time. Please explain.

In response to King’s Creations queries, Dr John Watts explained that one should not immediately conclude just by going into a blood test report. “Normally, the total testosterone readings between 300 ng/dL-1000 ng/dL are considered normal. But if your doctor has advised means there could be some extraneous reasons for it,” explained Dr John Watts.

Explaining further, Dr John Watts said that he should consider and evaluate other hormonal issues before opting for TRT. In such a scenario, he advised him to take a second opinion from either an andrologist or a urologist.
