Our Editor's Take

Tyrus and Kat Timpf have an unexpected friendship. The former is a heavyweight wrestling champion, while the latter is a news analyst and a comedian. And somehow, they always find topics to talk about in The Tyrus and Timpf Podcast.

Tyrus has entertained for years with his high-energy performances and impressive wrestling skills. Tyrus (real name George Murdoch) made his debut in the industry in 2005. Since, he has worked for organizations like WWE, TNA, and GFW. His stage persona was always fun and unusual, whatever name he had. Tyrus' road into Fox News was also quite remarkable. Late-night host Greg Gutfeld reached out to Tyrus on Twitter and asked him to be a guest commentator. The performance went so well that it opened the door to a new career for him in the network.

Katherine (Kat) Timpf had a different, more traditional career path. She started as an online writer and standup comedian, performing at clubs nationwide. In 2015, Timpf joined Fox News as a contributor. She appeared on several of the network's programs, including The Greg Gutfeld Show. That's where she later met Tyrus, her future podcast cohost. The pair developed their individual careers away from each other on Fox News. They both appeared on many panels and had their own shows. The two then became regulars on Gutfeld!, the Fox comedian's weeknight show. All of this led to The Tyrus and Timpf Podcast in 2021.

The Tyrus and Timpf Podcast doesn't follow a set format. It is a lighthearted show for people looking for easygoing entertainment. The cohosts spend each episode talking about their week, personal life, or current events that they find baffling. They go into detail about things they find annoying and enjoy complaining to each other. They often also have a guest talking about a fun or weird experience.

There are many laughs to be had with The Tyrus and Timpf Podcast. But more than the banter, it's a heartwarming conversation between friends. And the listener can feel like a part of that friendship.
