“Follow God…Not Man,” wrote Apostle Paul, warning the church at Corinth that they were not to follow him nor Apollos for they were only servants of Jesus Christ. Paul planted the church and Apollos watered the seeds, but it was God who made it grow. He accused the church of acting as “mere humans” with their jealousy and quarreling. “You are God’s temple where the Holy Spirit dwells in your midst” he wrote. He concluded with these fantastic words that apply to Christians then and now: “So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.”
