#41: Resisting routine, having a regular bedtime & wakeup time, & how I now have a morning routine

The Demetra Gray Show

Aug 1 2022 • 1 hr 9 mins

I used to identify as someone who hated routine and who hated doing anything that had to be the same every day. In this episode I talk about the process of how this has slowly shifted for me, from brushing my teeth to feeding myself to now - having a morning routine. The resistance to this often comes from a childhood where we aren’t taught to take care of ourselves in a loving way. These “tasks” are all an act of self love in the truest sense - but forcing ourselves to do them won’t work either. In this episode I tell you all about how I created my morning routine and why I think I am finally doing it this time.
