20. Philippians 4:4-7
We will experience the peace of God during anxiety if we create a practical rhythm of prayer.· Anxiety is the pervasive atmosphere of contemporary America. · Without setting my intention through mindful prayer, anxiety is the atmosphere of my inner life. · If peace and anxiety are the thermometers of my heart, then mindful prayer is the thermostat. · The moment I wake up, I am immediately flooded with concerns about which I am anxious. · The first battle of my day is won or lost within seconds of waking. · What about you? What are the most common sources of your anxiety? · Paul addresses the issue of prayer and anxiety first by addressing one of the most common sources of anxiety: relational tension. He then goes on to teach that prayer can effectively cultivate an experience of peace amid anxiety. Philippians 4:2-32 I urge Euodia, and I urge Syntyche to agree in the Lord. 3 Yes, I also ask you, true partner, to help these women who have contended for the gospel at my side, along with Clement and the rest of my coworkers whose names are in the Book of Life.• I urge Eudoia and Syntyche to agree.• I ask that you (true partner) help these women agree.Philippians 2:22 make my joy complete by thinking the same way, having the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.Philippians 4:4-74 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your graciousness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
