Off A Bye, Michigan Football Heads To Illinois

Bleav in Michigan

Oct 17 2024 • 30 mins

Michigan's loss to Washington was a tough setback and sent Michigan into its bye week with a bad taste in their mouth. The loss definitely exposed some vulnerabilities, most glaringly on offense, at the quarterback position and in the passing game in general. The bye week should help as Jack Tuttle embraces the starting role at QB, but there are still a lot of question marks surrounding the defending national champs.

As the Wolverines head into the matchup against the Fighting Illini, Michigan needs to establish dominance and regain their confidence, especially on the ground. Illinois is a solid team and Bret Bielema knows all about battling it out in the trenches in the Big Ten. However, if Michigan can execute their game plan effectively, they should be in a good position to bounce back.
