Nanobubble Aeration: Eliminating Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs)

ContenderCast with Justin Honaman

Sep 9 2019 • 18 mins

Nanobubble technology is the first aeration device registered with the Environmental Protection Agency for the natural elimination of Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs), which can spread dangerous toxins in recreational lakes and ponds. The scientific community believes that exposure to these toxins may lead to the development of neurological diseases like ALS, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's later in life. Until now, the only solution for HABs and other nuisance algae was pesticide use - so this is an extremely exciting step towards sustainability in our communities! Bo Burns, an aquatic biologist with SOLitude Lake Management joins Justin to discuss.
