VERSES’ Revolutionary AI Whitepaper Validated by New Neuroscience Breakthrough
Revolutionary AI Whitepaper Validated by New Neuroscience Breakthrough by Denise Holt The Future of AI is Shared, Distributed, and Multi-Scale This may seem too good to be true, but it’s not. In fact, it’s happening right now. It's called Active Inference AI, based on the Free Energy Principle (FEP). In December 2022, VERSES AI set forth a sweeping vision for artificial intelligence based on a distributed, collective real-time knowledge graph, comprised of Intelligent Agents operating on the physics of intelligence itself. In their whitepaper, titled “Designing Ecosystems of Intelligence from First Principles,” they propose a profound departure from standard notions of AI as a monolithic system. Authored by Chief Scientist Dr. Karl Friston and the VERSES AI research team, the paper puts forth the concept of “shared intelligence”. This represents intelligence as emerging from interactions between diverse, distributed nodes as Intelligent Agents, in which each contributes localized knowledge and unique perspectives. VERSES AI Compared with Open AI According to ChatGPT4 | KB 14 Spatial Web AI Podcast
VERSES AI Compared with Open AI According to ChatGPT4  #futureofai #artificialintelligence by Denise Holt VERSES AI has developed a unique methodology that combines Active Inference AI with the Spatial Web Protocol, trained on real-time data within a common network of Intelligent Agents based on real-world events as they occur and unfold over time.   OpenAI administers a multi-modal methodology of generative Machine Learning AI derived from LLMs trained on text/image pairs.   In a mere three question conversation with ChatGPT4, the OpenAI bot provided a solid basis for understanding the greatest issues facing Machine Learning LLMs, the advantages of Active Inference AI over LLMs, and the way in which the next evolution of the internet protocol, the Spatial Web, when combined with Active Inference AI, can function as a nervous system for a company, city, or even larger systems.   ______________________   Special thanks to Dan Mapes, President and Co-Founder, VERSES AI and Director of The Spatial Web Foundation. If you’d like to know more about The Spatial Web, I highly recommend a helpful introductory book written by Dan and his VERSES Co-Founder, Gabriel Rene, titled, “The Spatial Web,” with a dedication “to all future generations.”   Listen to more episodes in my Knowledge Bank Playlist to learn everything you need to know to stay ahead of this rapidly accelerating technology.   Check out more on my blog at https://deniseholt.us   #futureofai #artificialintelligence #spatialweb #activeinference #ChatGPT4
Episode 3 | Dr. Arsalan Abtahi – Executive Chair, Symphony | Spatial Web AI Podcast

Episode 3 | Dr. Arsalan Abtahi – Executive Chair, Symphony | Spatial Web AI Podcast
Special Guest: Dr. Arsalan Abtahi – Executive Chair, Symphony – Inclusive Sustainable Smart Cities and the Spatial Web #futureofai #smartcities by Denise Holt   In this episode, we discuss Dr. Abtahi’s background as a medical doctor and how it relates to his work on creating inclusive, sustainable, smart cities through his organization Symphony. He talks about the challenges of building such cities, including competition and silos that hinder interoperability. Dr. Abtahi also describes the four pillars of inclusive, sustainable smart cities: environmental sustainability, social inclusion and community resilience, intelligent and participatory governance, and inclusive economic development. Dr. Abtahi explains the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which are made up of 17 different indicators. He discusses how technology, such as AI and the spatial web, can be used to achieve these goals by automating processes and improving quality of life. Abtahi compares a city's lack of functional architecture to a human's subconscious mind that automates survival. He notes that technology can fill this gap by automating things like food production and energy production so that people can focus on intellectual pursuits instead of worrying about basic needs. We discuss the lack of infrastructure that can maximize interoperability between siloed systems and create a holistic understanding of what's happening. He explains how the spatial web is filling this gap by creating an extracellular matrix that connects everything together, similar to human cells. Dr. Abtahi emphasizes the importance of measuring data from sensors in cities to create a comprehensive digital twin ecosystem for better management through programmable equilibrium, reflecting how big data and AI tools enable data driven decision making for policy making instead of relying solely on people who are wiser or smarter. He also emphasizes the importance of prioritizing Africa and Latin America in addressing infrastructure issues and closing the digital divide through multidisciplinary collaborations. Finally, he highlights the need for a collective mission towards more inclusive, sustainable ecosystems and changing our perspective on identity as individuals within a larger system, recognizing our commonalities and breaking down silos between individuals rather than focusing on differences. Special thanks to Dr. Arsalan Abtahi, for being on our show!
