Over a million people started businesses in 2023. Twenty percent of new businesses fail within the first twelve months. How can you build a solid foundation for your business to avoid being a statistic? Forty percent of businesses fail within the first three years. With such alarming statistics, the question becomes, what does a business need to succeed? First and foremost, you must build a solid foundation. What does building a solid foundation for success for your brand and business mean? Building a solid foundation for your brand and business means taking the smart action steps in the correct order. Not piecemealing your business strategy and leaving success up to hope. When you build a solid foundation upfront, the sky becomes the limit. You won’t have to backpedal. There will be no one step forward, two steps backward. Likewise, you won’t have to fail your way forward. I can tell you from experience that trying to grow and scale your business alone is no fun, and you will do a lot of backpedaling. What do you need to do to be successful? - Friday Faith Foundations
Are you struggling to reach the level of success you desire? Yes? So then, what do you need to do to be successful? Three key things. If you have felt overwhelmed with growing your business, you must have asked the question, what do you need to do to be successful? The fact is, there are three crucial components to entrepreneurial success. The most important is a positive mindset. The three things you need to succeed A positive mindset, strategy, and action—that's it. Many struggle to achieve a positive mindset because they are looking for it in the wrong places - worldly places, new age philosophies, and other people. Without a positive mindset, you cannot focus on creating efficient strategies that will guide you to success. And without strategy, you don't know what action to take. In addition, mindset influences the actions you take. You will not take positive, effective action if you have a negative mindset. Before we go any further, recognize that you need help to succeed. You may be surprised at where the best help will come from. What do you need to do to be successful? Prioritize your mindset, as it is the most important of the three. You can create strategies all day, but if your mindset—your beliefs and thoughts—is unfavorable, you will not implement the plan effectively or make the right choices to take the right actions. With that said, what do you need to do to be successful? Focus on your beliefs and thoughts. A positive mindset comes from the Word of God. How can you adopt a positive mindset when you feel stuck in a cycle, maybe a life-long cycle, of doubt, fear, self-criticism, imposter syndrome, and lack? God gives us specific advice on this in Scripture. In 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, Paul says, "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have the divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." In Romans 12:2, Paul wrote, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then, you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will." Paul tells us in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." God wants you to have an abundance mindset
Stop trading time for money. That is a mindset of lack, and God didn't create you for lack; He created you for an abundant life in Him. How can you develop an abundance mindset? The transformation from a lack mindset to an abundance mindset begins with Scripture. It's also important to recognize that trading time for money as an entrepreneur is not an abundance mindset. The Bible tells us we have an abundance. It all began when God created the world. He made it plentiful, beautiful, and perfect. Then, He created Adam and Eve. And the world was still perfect—until. . . Satan distracted Eve. The Garden of Eden was abundant in everything Adam and Eve needed to live. According to the free dictionary, the name Eden means a delightful place, a paradise. In addition, it is a state of innocence, bliss, or ultimate happiness. God created Eden as the perfect place for Adam and Eve to live abundantly. In Genesis 2:16, God told Adam, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden, and in verse 17, the exception was given. He was not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." Eat freely from every tree except one. Instead of seeing the abundance she had, Eve let Satan convince her she was living in lack because of the one tree she was told she couldn't eat from. How often do we follow Eve's example and focus on what we don't have instead of the abundance God has given us? Satan distracted Eve. And he distracts us today, too. Think about how often you think of what you don't have instead of what you do. Many of us complain about not having enough time. Eve had everything she needed, but the devil made her doubt that she had enough because she didn't have what the Tree of Knowledge could give her. We do the same thing when we have a scarcity mindset about time, resources, knowledge, or talents. Putting a dollar sign on our time and trading time for money is an example of seeing time as limited instead of seeing the value our gifts and knowledge allow us to provide for others and be more responsible with our time. Your personal brand strategy includes your style to differentiate you
Your personal brand is the foundation of your business. As such, it is how you control the perception others have of you. Therefore, your style is part of your personal brand strategy. There are many facets to your personal brand and the perception others have of you. When creating a personal brand strategy, your style must be a consideration. Whether in corporate or as an entrepreneur, your style influences what people think of you as a personal brand. Yoru personal brand strategy will help you differentiate yourself from others in your area of expertise. Your style, the clothes you wear and how you wear them, helps differentiate you. When you look good you feel better It can be said that when you look good you feel good and vice versa, when you feel good you look good. It takes discipline to care for yourself. But when you do, people notice compliment you and you will feel more confident. Confidence and image are internal and external. When you put effort in, and feel like you have nailed your brand image, people give positive feedback, and you feel more confident. This becomes a cycle and influences many aspects of your life. Your style is part of your personal brand strategy. You must dress for success, not matter your body type. Once you know the styles and silhouettes that fit your body well, it makes choosing clothes easier. As women, your body shape changes over time. Stop judging your body shape that you have today and learn how to dress for it. It is confidence boosting to know that your outfit is going to flatter your body and help you look great. When you know what fits well and looks great, you can focus less time and energy on selecting outfits and more energy on having an impact with your clients. You are not an apple or a pear and there is nothing wrong with your body. Instead of focusing what you’d like to change, learn to dress for your body so that you start your day with confidence and feeling ready to accomplish what’s before you. What’s your favorite feature? Accentuate it! Select your favorite feature and come up with ways to accentuate that feature as you dress for your personal brand. Dressing yourself this way, you will notice how great this feature looks and give you more confidence and you will feel freer. It is important to talk to yourself with kindness, being gentle with your body, instead of focusing on what others have said to you in the past. What does the Bible say about your identity? Hint - it's not in your revenue. - Friday Faith Foundations Episode
There's a lot of noise about making six, seven, or eight figures. And if you don't, does that mean you aren't successful? Does the amount you make alter your identity as a successful business owner? If the business world has made you feel less than adequate, I want you to stop for a second and consider this question: What does the Bible say about your identity? Your worth is not tied to your business. It is easy to link your worth to your business's success. When things are going well, and clients and revenue are flowing in steadily, you may feel confident and worthy of success. But what happens when clients and revenue are only trickling in or not coming in? Do you continue to feel confident and worthy of success? Or do you begin to doubt your worth as a health coach, life coach, healthcare provider, writer, creative, or whatever niche your business falls into? Satan uses doubt to distract you. God may plan to slow things down and refocus your efforts, redirect you, or intentionally give you time to rest or evaluate your business. But Satan takes advantage of this time and needles you and creates chaos in your mind, heart, and soul. You most likely will begin to ask many what-if questions: what if this isn't my purpose? Am I on the wrong path? What if things don't turn around? Where will the next client come from? What if, what if, what if? When this happens, there's only one thing to do. Go to Scripture and discover the answer to the ultimate question: What does the Bible say about your identity? I need to do this, too. We all do. Because we are all, at one time or another, distracted by Satan and his antics. However, we do not have to succumb to him and his deception because we can look directly at Scripture to understand what God says about our identity. And what He says is beautiful. Be assured through what the Bible says about your identity. The Bible also assures us that we are free from darkness, as found in Isaiah 61:1. And John tells us in John 17:15 that we are protected from the evil one. Similarly, in Romans 5:1 Paul reminds us that we are justified by faith. Likewise, in Hebrews 13:5, we are told we are not forsaken. So, what does the Bible say about your identity? Your worth is not tied to your revenue. The amount of money you make as a business owner, the mistakes you make, and the number of clients you have do not define you. To attract more clients, you must tell the world about your work and the results you help your clients achieve. But how? The answer? Learn how to write a good case study. Writing a good case study can improve your marketing strategy because readers will understand how you help your clients achieve the desired results. Why must you write a good case study to improve your marketing strategy and attract more clients? Case studies encapsulate SEO. They are proof of your work, share stories, and help people see the results you achieve for your clients. Stories are what build an emotional connection with your audience or community. Case studies fit the top and bottom of your funnel. They can help you get more visibility online, and by telling a story, you bring results alive and help people see why they should hire you. Weave a story around the client and include testimonial quotes throughout the case study. The story begins with where the person was before getting the help they needed and ends with the results the person achieved. Use case studies to showcase what it’s like to work with you. How do you write a good case study to improve your marketing strategy? Case studies can be in multiple formats. Brittany recommends her PET formula. P—problem—where they were stuck before, what help they wanted, and what support they needed. Where were they before they met you? What made them hire you? E—experience—What was it like during their time working with you? What did they like about working with you? This section can highlight a part of your business that doesn’t necessarily get much attention. T—Transformation—What wins have they had because they worked with you, and what are the internal and external transformations? Internally, how have they changed? Do they have more clarity and confidence? What was the emotional journey that took place? What external results did they achieve? Such as analytics, number of clients, ranking on Google, etc. There is something to show, numbers or data to demonstrate results. Emotional transformation is the most important because people will relate to the emotional aspect. Where do you put your case study on your website? There are two options. You can use a case study as a hidden web page or a blog page. To view a hidden page, someone must have a link where a blog post may be published, and anyone who scrolls through your website can easily find it. Hidden means that your site doesn’t have a menu item for case studies. But the key is to have them on your site and then repurpose the content to drive traffic to them on your site. Don't be timid if you want to create a personal brand strategy for a sustainable business - Friday Faith Foundations
Your personal brand is the foundation of your business, so a personal brand strategy must be a priority if you want to build a sustainable business. What is a personal brand strategy, and what characteristics of a personal brand are crucial for sustainable success? To start, don't be timid. Rely on your faith, be bold and courageous, and step into your God-given gifts. What is a personal brand? Think of your personal brand as the perception others have of you. It's a story, your story, that others want to be part of. A story they can see themselves as part of because they like you and trust you. Your personal brand is how you differentiate yourself from all others in your niche. It designates why someone will want to hire you or work with you. Without a personal brand, you have nothing to communicate with the marketplace. So, decide what makes you unique. What defines your unique personal brand? Likewise, if you have a personal brand that isn't visible online, no one will know you are there to help them. So let me ask: Is fear holding you back from becoming visible? From shouting from the rooftops, your story that people need to hear to want to be in your community and hire you? 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "The Spirit God gave us does not make us timid but gives us power, love, and self-discipline." Don't let fear hold you back - create a personal brand strategy. Your story consists of the good, the bad, and the not-so-good. But sharing the not-so-good doesn't have to be something terrifying. You can be vulnerable without expressing how terrible your mistakes have been. You learned from each mistake or perceived failure, didn't you? So, your story can be told in a way that includes what didn't work, emphasizing what you learned and how you changed to create something better. Share the transformations you experienced and that God helped you make when you trusted Him to lead and guide you the way you'll help lead and guide your soulmate clients. When you share your story, people will see that you understand them, what they are experiencing, and what they need and desire. Change your money mindset to improve your relationship with money
Financial resources make it easier to care for yourself and your family. When you have a positive mindset around money, you will have a positive relationship with money. How do you feel about money? Would you like to change your mindset about money to improve your relationship with it? If yes, you are not alone. Many people struggle with money mindset and need to improve their relationship with money. Past experiences, things you've been taught, trauma, and even your family's relationship with money can influence your money mindset and, therefore, your relationship with it. Navigating money mindset You can make more of it when you believe you are safe and capable of making money. Hannah teaches that money is an expression of love. When people pay you, they express love and gratitude for what you have done for them. Why might your past experiences with money be a good thing for you to recognize that you need help and can change your money mindset? How do you manifest money? You work for it. Once you receive it, you can manage it, grow it through investments, and continue to make more of it. We must recognize that we are not to idolize money but to work hard. Money is an expression of appreciation and love. For example, in years past, there was a barter system. People worked hard to be able to have things to trade with. Working hard is an honor and a pleasure. Working and being paid is accepting love. Paying someone else is giving love. Giving money is giving love. Money can be considered an exchange of love and appreciation. Change your money mindset to see money as an exchange of love and appreciation and improve your relationship with money. Doing so will help you spend money more graciously and be a better receiver of money. If money went away tomorrow, humanity would come up with another form of something to exchange to express love and appreciation. A form of gratitude When you pay someone money, you express gratitude, love, and appreciation. As service providers, coaches, etc., you are providing a service, sharing your knowledge, and giving of yourself to help someone else. Accepting payment is allowing someone else to express gratitude for what you have done to help someone by sharing your knowledge that you probably paid for to some extent. Change your money mindset to one of abundance. In her book Wealth From Within, Hanna defines abundance as the joy of rolling up your sleeves, getting your hands dirty, and working away until time and space slip away. Abundance is the energetic state of plenty, overflow, and richness that reminds you that there will always be more money to create, more opportunities to act on, and more expansion to experience. You need hope for the entrepreneurship journey
Being a business owner is exciting, fun, inspiring, joyful, and purposeful. But you need hope for the entrepreneurship journey to stay positive and have the strength to follow your dreams and achieve your goals. Hope is the desire that keeps you moving forward. You need hope and a positive mindset to stay motivated, to put one foot in front of the other when the excitement has waned and doubt has arrived. Hopeful expectation will help you see a light at the end of the tunnel, and your effort and dedication will produce results. Put your hope in the Lord. The psalmist in Psalm 32 says, "We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you." In Psalm 130:7, we read, "Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption." She never gave up. In Matthew, Mark, and Luke, we are told the story of the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years. According to doctors, there was no cure, nothing anyone could do for her. But she didn't give up hope. She had faith. When she learned about Jesus, she believed that He was the chosen one, the Messiah. Through faith in Him, she had hope that He could heal her. Her faith was so strong that she believed that if she couldn't get to Him if she could touch His robe, she'd be healed. And she was. A prayer for you I pray over you today, friend. Lord, thank you for the hope you have given us through Jesus and your limitless gifts of hope, grace, and love. Please calm this beautiful soul's heart and quiet her mind so she will hear you speaking to and guiding her. Grant her an elevation in her faith in you and hope in all things possible through that faith. You are so good, Lord. Help us take the hope found only in you and share it while using your gifts to serve others and bring glory to you through all we say and do, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Coaches can serve as a mirror for clients behind them on the journey to become who they are meant to be. Clients can experience hope that they too will become satisfied, purposeful, and fulfilled by seeing what the coach who has gone before them has accomplished. Many facts about coaching will influence your decision to become a coach, what type of coach you will become, and whether or not you will hire a coach. The label of coach is very broad. Coaching could mean marketing strategy, consulting, coaching in sports, or mentoring. There is nothing wrong with the coach label, but the complication comes from he distinction between using coach as a business label versus the coaching industry. Getting credentialed as a coach helps you understand coaching as a process. Facts about coaching - it can help overcome a scarcity mindset  The scarcity mindset (negative money mindset) is very prevalent. It can also be associated with performance. It always reflects a belief of lack in life or business. Lack of resources, lack of money, lack of ability, etc. Scarcity prevents us from seeing that there are enough seats at the table, collaborating, or referring to others. Rising tides rise all ships, but you can't get to that place until you work on your scarcity mindset. You don't have to have all the answers. But accepting vulnerability and asking for your help to discover the answers is vital. And, when help is offered or a referral given, receive gracefully, lovingly, and generously. A lack of resources isn't the problem; the scarcity mindset must be navigated first. Your overall well-being is related to your mindset. Did you know that your gut health influences your ability to have an abundance mindset? When you've experienced any trauma in your life, it's important to do inner healing work by nurturing mind, body, and soul. What influence does anxiety have on women in business and entrepreneurship? Anxiety can get in the way of having a great life. Coaching can help you recognize how to make choices that will reduce anxiety. There has to be a very strong commitment to navigating anxiety if you want to succeed amidst the pressures of entrepreneurship, motherhood, and the multiple hats that we as women wear. Responsibility, choices, and commitment are integral to navigating any mental health challenge. Anxiety can arise during the entrepreneurial journey or be exacerbated once you become an entrepreneur. You've got this because God's got you!
Life can feel challenging and overwhelming, sometimes downright brutal. But you can have confidence you'll get through it because God's got you. You can find comfort in scripture that you've got this because God's got you. No matter the life experiences, even the days you want to curl up in a ball and cry, God's resting his hand on you and sees you as his radiant, righteous child. Psalm 34:5 reminds us, Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed. When you don't think you've got this, ask yourself these questions? 1. Is this more than God can handle? Your situation may be more than you can handle, but nothing is impossible for God to handle. God's got you, always. In Matthew 28:20, when Jesus spoke to the disciples, He said, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Another verse that reminds us that no matter what seems impossible for us, Jesus can handle it is Matthew 19:26. "Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” There is nothing under the sun that God cannot handle and help you navigate if you seek Him. But when doubt comes over you because the struggle feels too much, the decisions too overwhelming, or the workload too intense, remember the words of the father of the boy in Mark 9:24, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” Ask God to help with your doubts and unbelief. He wants your trust and belief in Him; if you seek Him, He will help your unbelief become an undeniable belief. He wants to be in a relationship with you. He will speak to you when you are in a relationship with Him. 2. Is there something I can learn from this right now? 3. Can I find something to be grateful for in this situation? 4. Writing persuasive copy makes you more likely to convert your audience to paying clients. You must adhere to your values when writing persuasive copy and implementing website strategies to create an effective homepage. The place to start Don't get hung up on having the perfect website. Your website strategies must include taking action to accomplish what needs to be done, especially if you want to create an effective homepage or convert viewers to clients. Your website homepage is important. You have approximately 7 seconds to grab a website visitor's attention before they become uninterested and click away. Your website strategies to create an effective homepage must include Hook headlines The space above the fold, the banner area, or hero image as you may hear it called, is prime real estate to grab attention. It's a title that gets your viewer's attention. Not only grab their attention but leverage who you are talking to and how you can help them. Focus on the reader, who you help, and how you help them. Opt-in If applicable, offer a lead magnet, a free guide, a white paper, a case study, etc., so that you can have them join your email list, bring them into your community, and further nurture them. This goes beyond your general "subscribe to my email list" or "subscribe to my newsletter." You want to give them something. This is a great way to continue to warm up the audience. They probably need more, and the opt-in provides an opportunity to do this. First-person Use a personal approach and write in the first person. Writing in the first person is a way to connect with the reader and is a form of persuasive copywriting. This is an opportunity to share your story and your values, what is important to you. When you share stories about your experiences, journey, and why you are doing what you are doing, your visitors will connect with you. If visitors do not resonate with your copy, they will understand that you are not the person for them. Likewise, if visitors do resonate with your copy, they will recognize that you are the one who can solve a problem for them. They will align with your values and understand you are a good fit. Be the face of your brand. Share your story and connect with the reader by showcasing your personal brand. If you were once your ideal client, share that information. Most importantly, have at least one image of yourself on your homepage. Your website strategies must include a way for visitors to get to know you. Do Not Compromise Your Faith - Friday Faith Foundations
Spiritual warfare is real. You must stand guard, discern, and be prepared to stand your ground. Do not compromise your faith by accepting the "feel good" movement rampantly shifting the mindset of society. Jesus didn't die in vain. He died, overcame Satan, and rose again so that we could have eternal life. He did not suffer for us to ignore His commandments and accept sin. Therefore, we must discern what we consume. We are to love but do not compromise your faith to do so We are to love, yes. But it is not love to accept and condone sinful lifestyles. We are called to witness Jesus' love and grace, to bring others to His righteousness and into His kingdom. In Matthew 22:36-40 we learn the greatest commandment. The disciples asked Jesus, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” However, accepting what secular voices are promoting as good, as love, is not going to help anyone. In fact, it will endanger our souls and the souls of others. This applies to life and business, and as business owners, you have the luxury to stand sure-footed on your values and faith if you are willing. Jesus loves, but He does not tolerate sin. He calls all to repentance. Therefore, we must not accept sin. In Mark 3:28-29 Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.” Likewise, in Ephesians 4:30, Paul commands, "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption." Jesus gets us, but do not compromise your faith by being misled that he is pleased with sin. Oh yes, Jesus gets us. And He is very aware of all we think, say, and do. He has compassion for us. But that does not mean He condones sin or wants us to accept it as right and true. Every sin we commit, we grieve the Holy Spirit. Be cautious, friends, be aware of mixed messages and do not accept all you see, hear, and read as Biblical truth. Satan is working overtime to distract you and pull you away from the safety net Jesus so generously suffered to provide for us. We are to love, not judge, but we are also not to condone or support ungodly choices and behaviors. Sin is real. Do You Need A Business Detox with Andrea Anderson
It's time for a business detox! Clear your heart and mind and better see what God has in store for you and your business. God has a purpose and calling for each of us and wants us to stay aligned with Him. What is a business detox? If you feel overwhelmed or like you are spinning in circles with a never-ending to-do list, maybe it's time to step back and listen for God's voice. Maybe you need to hear God more clearly to fully understand your purpose and what He's calling you to. When you more clearly hear God's voice, you will have more direction and confidence in your business endeavors. Having more direction and confidence will allow you to grow and scale with simplicity and at a faster rate. Allow God to transform you for a business detox. In Romans 12:2, Paul tells us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will." When we step into faith, we allow God to transform us. Often, transformation is what is needed for us to clearly hear God's voice and experience the growth He is calling us to. What is a business detox? We need to purge our old thoughts, ways, and even clients to move forward to grow and scale our businesses. God gave Andrea the verse Hebrews 12:1, which reads, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." We are to throw off everything that hinders us from hearing God's will for us. There are things that hinder us that aren't sin. Whatever feels like dead weight that is stopping you from stepping into the business God has for you needs to be thrown off. Building a business is a process. You must go through each phase or step to reach the next level. But eventually, you need to be willing to move from one phase to the next. You Need Help To Succeed - Friday Faith Foundations
Do you avoid asking for help? Perhaps asking for help makes you feel uncomfortable. Even if you don't want to ask another person for help, you have a guide and help is available to you from the Holy Spirit. You need help to succeed. As humans, we are not meant to live, work, and do things alone. And most people enjoy helping others. Data suggests that when people help others, we are more likely to be successful ourselves. The Bible reminds us that we need help to succeed One of my favorite verses in the Bible that emphasizes our need for help as humans is Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. It reads, "Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." In the New Testament, we were given the gift of the Holy Spirit as our counselor, helper, and guide. A gift not to be taken lightly. Jesus even told the disciples that someone greater than He would be coming to help them. Can you imagine the humility of Jesus? Someone greater than Him! As believers, we are truly blessed to have the triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are never alone. Always have help. In John 16:13 we learn "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."   You need help to succeed, that's why we have the Holy Spirit If we didn't need help, would Jesus have given the Holy Spirit to us? He knew that life would be challenging, too challenging to bear on our own accord. Similar to the disciples, we live in a world that can easily persuade us to run, hide from our faith, and remain silent instead of witnessing. It's much easier to fly under the radar than to proclaim our faith. Likewise, it's often easier to do what we think is best instead of asking God for direction. You need client retention strategies
What if one of your best clients lost your contact information and could no longer buy from you? It happens. Don't let it happen to you. Stay front of mind. To stay front of mind, you need client retention strategies. Email marketing is one client retention strategy that is effective and takes minimal time. An example to demonstrate the need for client retention strategies During a recent nail appointment, my esthetician told me about visiting a local store to buy a plant. The store owner had a limited selection of plants to choose from. She explained that she had lost the contact information for her purveyor of plants and therefore was trying to find another one. One could think a few thoughts on this, for example, how does someone lose contact information in this day and age? Can't she look for the website? Doesn't she remember the name? Well, when humans are involved there is room for error. Maybe the purveyor doesn't have a website. Big mistake in my opinion. Even a one-page search-engine-optimized website can serve a powerful purpose in helping ideal clients find you online. It's hard to say why she can't find the contact information or remember his name or his company's name. But that is beside the point. The purveyor himself is responsible for the loss of sales. If the purveyor had a website and an email marketing strategy or other client retention strategies in place, he would be front of mind with the shop owner. Maybe she only buys plants twice a year, Spring and Fall. Now is the time he should be sending an email to remind his clients that Spring plants will soon be available and they should think about ordering soon. In addition, if he'd focused on building a relationship with the shop owner, she would have remembered his name or at least kept his contact information in a safe place. Relationship marketing is another client retention strategy that can be employed. When your customers know you, love you and trust you, they are more likely to want to buy from you repeatedly. An example to demonstrate what happens when email marketing is included with your client retention strategies During a recent strategy session with my client, L.B. she said she needed an influx of cash this month. I asked her what her client retention strategies were. There was hesitation to answer. I then asked her about her email marketing strategy. You guessed it. She had not been emailing her list.  The result of my conversation with L.B. was that she was going to start implementing an email marketing strategy. We decided on one email per week.  After the first two emails, she had numerous new appointments booked by former clients who had not been in for quite some time. Organize and systemize your life to create more energy and feel better, which will help you succeed. There is a need to be organized and that need stems from the benefits of being organized. You can save time and money and be more efficient. "Evaluate and tweak your systems. It is all about becoming more efficient and productive in a streamlined space and maintaining these systems will help you achieve your goals." - Kristin MacRae What are the benefits of being organized? There are several benefits of being organized. The first benefit of being organized is saving money. When you are disorganized, you do not know what you have. If you know where everything is, you won't waste money on things you don't need. The second benefit of being organized is saving time. You will be able to find things immediately instead of searching for things. This time can add up to hours a week. It would help if you were organized to improve efficiency, save time, save money, and reduce stress. In addition, your home will feel more peaceful when you are organized. Note, that sentimental items are tricky. Some want to keep them, others do not. If you want more energy, you need to be organized In addition to the previously mentioned benefits of being organized, you will create more positive energy in your home. When there is less clutter, the energy in the home shifts and you feel happier and more energized. Likewise, you feel lighter, and your perspective changes. If you need to be organized, how can you achieve organization? The key to getting organized is to stay on task. Stay focused. First, set a date and time block for your project. Be specific, for example, I am going to work in the closet. When decluttering, create piles. Have a move to another room bin to put things in so that you don't go to another room and get distracted. When you are finished organizing, then move the items to another room. In addition, have a maybe pile. If you spend time wondering what to do with something, you waste time thinking about it. Put maybe items in a separate pile and then go through them at the end of your project. Most of these items will be thrown away. Similarly, have a try-on pile.
